It isn't the music that's satanic, it's the words. I know of some heavy metal acts that are more Christian than some of the "softer" music that's allowed in church.
For example, a band that I listen to, Nightwish, which is "gothic" metal, has some VERY Christian lyrics. "Your death saved me." "Higher than hope my cure lies." "The carpenter
Carved his anchor On the dying souls of mankind
On the tomb of this unknown soldier
Lay the tools of the one who for us had died
Tools of the carpenter"
One cannot judge music itself. It's the lyrics that matter.

Only the intent and message of the music should be considered. Labeling certain genres of music as good or evil is preposterous. I have heard some very mellow songs contain awful things, and at the same time I have heard many very metal songs contain very spiritual lyrics. So, yes I believe different sounding musical types should be includede in church as long as they are appropriate.

a lot of heavy metal is "devilish" because of the lyrics. but if it's "christian" heavy metal, what's the problem?

you christians are so silly sometimes.

If it's Christian, then how is it devilish? Just because you don't enjoy a particular type of music doesn't mean it's evil. People worship God in different ways, not just the way you do. What makes you think your form of worship is any better in God's eyes than theirs is?

listening to heavy metal all my life hasn't stopped me becoming a deeply spiritual person ..
a person of good nature and good morals wouldn't in any way become instantly bad because of the type of music they listen to .. and Ive heard some wonderful christian metal bands
p.s I'm not christian .. but the music is good

Drums in general are of the DEVIL! Churches should have pianos, not drums and heavy metal!

just because something sounds heavy, doesn't mean it's devilish...there are several metal bands out there that are christian...such as As I Lay Dying..P.O.D. (not really metal), Stryper...stuff like that.
