I defended gay rights on this forum a million times now. And lots of people 'accused' me of being gay. Most even use it in the manner of name-calling.

I also see lots of people offended if somebody thinks Jesus was gay.

i'm truly wondering: how can anybody be offended if somebody guesses about somebody else's sexual preference?

People are obsessed with sex and the notion that it must be controlled at all costs. It's just as silly as a small child's obsession with what happens in the bathroom.

As I grow old and older
And totter toward the tomb,
I find that I care less and less
Who goes to bed with whom.

I think the reason people get offended when someone says that Jesus was gay is not Homophobia but rather the idea that Jesus even had a sexual preference at all. I mean look that the furore created by the Da Vinci code.

I think it is because when some people are so caught up in things and believe they are right about it, they can't discuss it rationally. People who are openminded and willing to look at other peoples views and debate them and discuss them they aren't offended. Many people would react to someone saying maybe Jesus never existed, Jesus existed but was just a person preaching religion, Jesus was black, the bible says Jesus was a man but what if Jesus was actually a woman the same way.

In general, people should just stop being offended altogether by words. They're just words.

Gay, I think, crosses a religious line. Apparently some believe being gay is against their religion. So saying they're gay or Jesus is gay is an affront to their religion, so that would be a bit more serious. But, still, words are just words.

It's a good question. I think it's a matter of people feeling like if they are called "gay" it's used in a bad way, and like you said you were "accused" like it was a bad thing to be called it, which is what makes someone feel offended. It really depends on how you take it.

well, a lot of religions say it's a sin for a man to lay with a man, or vice versa. that's the main reason. organized religion preaches homosexuality as a sin against God because it produces no offspring...but then again SEX FOR PLEASURE is against God too soooo...yeah.

PERSONALLY, i don't care who is getting with who because i have been annoyed a lot more by straight people than gay people. i am not gay, but i would never damn someone to hell for it either. times are changing, folks.

Jesus loves all his children, but the world is full of demons and hatred. Christians are trying to fight these demons and hate and Jesus helps us.

The God of MOSES destroyed the earth and he destoryed the city of SODOM and GOMORAH! We MUST help to remove the demons from this earth with the help of God and JESUS.

I guess you lay on your stomach when you masturbate

That takes a sick mind to even think that Jesus Christ was gay

By being prejudiced, I guess. The Bible says 'God is love.' Period. It doesn't qualify that, saying God is only sometimes love or only certain types of love. And even if homosexuality is wrong, that's no excuse to be rude and hateful; God will sort it out. Love thy neighbor, people!

Homophobia is the only explanation, I'm not gay, but I support their rights. Any negative feedback is just ignorance and you should completely ignore it.
