I have only recently passed on my second attempt. Honestly the best thing is as another person said above just accept that you might fail and think well at least i know what to expect for the next time. Loads of people fail on their first test because they simple don't know what to expect. DO NOT WORRY ABOUT IT !
Always keep checking your mirrors, they like that. Think everything through if you get flustered, don't let the panic set in just if you can rectify it or just simply carry on and don't let it flaw you. And don't be intimidated by the instructor, he is only human too. Just go out there and give it your best shot, if fail so what you will do it just keep going out and practise as much as you can but go easy on the day - don't wear yourself out ad get tired. Eat a good breakfast but nothing that will make you go the loo - lol. Also go the loo well beforehand, i went just before my 2nd test and almost missed it cause i was still in the loo. OH and wear something comfy and cool. Also I tried herbal Kalms they made me feel a little less stressed but didn't take all of it away.
Hope this helps and good luck !

I had massive nerves when I sat my test. The best thing to do is drink loads of beer before the test - Only joking DONT DO THIS.

Just remember that if you don't pass then you can sit it again, it is not the end of the world if you fail. If you think like this then you will relax because you have nothing to lose and remember if you weren't ready for the test then the instructor wouldn't put you forward for it, they need a high pass rate, so you must be ready and a good driver.

If your religious then pray, if not meditate, but the best way to get through a driving test is to just be prepared and that means lots of practice.

I too was nervous. Always panicked before tests thinking didn't know anything. Took slow breaths, didn't try to rush, and treated it like another lesson, only with different instructor. First time in my life I ever passed anything. I now own the roads!!!!! Good luck,

I don't know about nerves, but the best tip I ever got was 'Look in your rear view mirror every 10 seconds'. Lots of people I know have used this tip, and none of them have ever failed ...

A good nights' sleep. A good breakfast. Regular use of apples beforehand. Flax oil. And the knowledge worrying never solved anything but a physicians' car payments.

My trick was to set myself up for failing, accept that it was no big deal when I did fail because I can just rebook and do it again. Then, when I passed on the first try, it was just bonus.
