No, even though it sometimes seems so, Bush is not the most senseless president we have ever had. Yes, when asked what should we do to prevent forest fires, he suggested we cut down trees. As crazy as it sounds, it is the best solution by far. (You can ask me more about that if you really want to know; if not, take a science and society class and you will understand). And yes, stem cells can save lives, but it is also a question of ethics and morality. I am pro-stem cell research because I think it is really beneficial, and I do not have a religion, but that is just me. Other people just so happen to believe that whenever you extract stem cells from unborn baby, you're destroying a life.

No, I really hate to agree with George Bush about anything, but someone has to stand up for the fact that maybe it's just wrong to create and destroy potential human life for the benefit of others. I would like to see more funding focused on adult stem cell research.

The House and the Senate hold the wallet in this, don't blame the big guy.
Could it be you are just a Bush basher and you're looking at any angle to get a bashing in?

Changing genetics has the potential to do great good as well as great harm. The good thing is that the wheels are turning, how ever slow and cautious they may be, to the betterment of humanity.

Whether it is his personal point of view or an attempt to pacify the religious right,it is within his office to do so .I disagree though. It can be overridden by enough votes in Congress. Peace.
