the best way to lead someone to Christ is to be a Christian that lives every word spoken by Jesus without exception. We know the power that is in our lives and that our lives are made so much better buy Him...others that are around us can see that power when they are around us...so if you blow it by getting off of ur faith at the critical moment guess who is to blame for them saying christianity is fake and stupid? Stay in the word...pray incessantly night and day and let you light shine...its not your job to lead them to Christ...God can handle that part...you do yours...then if your called to deliver a message or counsel that person..then open ur mouth .

It makes no difference what experience one may be going through at the time when one listens, comprehends, and trusts the message of forgiveness and everlasting life with God available ONLY in Jesus Christ. Conversion experiences will vary from believer to believer. Some may have had similar ones and some may not. The circumstances surrounding the day of conversion were orchestrated by God and were simply designed to get our attention.
As for the best way to lead...? Let Him lead. We're just His ambassadors (followers). Think lifestyle...

About 5 years ago now I was obsessed with suicide. I thought about it all day and stole my moms xanax waiting for the courage to take them all and I even wrote a suicidal letter. Every day for 3 months I thought about it and I also would cry to God. I didn't know much about God then but I cried to God to give me the courage to do it, to have me die some way, or to just totally change my life. I would write letters and cry to God. Then I met a man in Arizona on the internet, fell in love and he talked me about God and told me I'd never be depressed again. I moved to AZ then I accepted Christ and became reborn and my husband and the pastor's wife prayed for me and laid hands on me, I got married and I've never been depressed since.

Sinned in fornication...I knew I was wrong but wanted to have "my fun". I disrespected myself by doing this and pretty much had no self respect left. The holy spirit convicted me. I felt wrong, lost, alone, incomplete, insecure, unhappy, scared. I chose to repent and follow Jesus. Best thing that ever happened to me. After accepting him I felt secure, whole, happy, complete, free, and knew in my heart that I wasn't alone b/c the Lord will always be here for me. God is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins.

Having a crummy childhood and/ or having people not love you will make you do that. Being gullible and believing everything everyone tells you will make you join a religion.
