No, because I already was one and now I have to move on from it. I have done nothing that was very wrong or very right in my life, and I am not good nor am I evil. I am doomed to remain a human from here on in. If I died right now, I would come back as a human, and I would keep coming back until I get it right. You only become an animal if you were like Hitler or Stalin and you committed some unspeakable evils. They would have to remain animals until they learn to be respectful towards others and learn to be nice.

I assume by afterlife you mean in the next life (reincarnation). And, you now it's tough. There are a couple different schools of throught here. Some believe that we begin as single celled organisms and as we learn the life lessons necessary in that life form we sort of evolve and reincarnate into more complex life forms. However, some believe that we stay within our own species when we reincarnate. So, to answer your question, if you believe that we work our way UP to human from single-celled then 'yes' because if you mess up bad enough this time around I suppose you could be 'demoted'. If you believe that we stay within our own species, then no. Depends on what you, personally, believe!

Sure why not? Alot of religious believe we come back, that the spirit is recycled and this is how we learn. I think it would be fun to be an animal-they do not have to deal with nearly as much daily crap as we do! Beside most pets are spoiled! I would love to be a cat and eat and play and sleep all day!

NO. There are more animals on earth then people. So if every time you die you come back as an animal what do dead babies come back as. Also where do theses new souls come from and what about bugs? Bugs out number all mammal 10 to 1.

No-and i don't think we are coming back i believe in Jesus Christ and a place called Heaven. This wouldn't be a very safe place to come back too. That is why we should live as good a life as we possibly can while we are here on earth. Because one day we will leave and be with the one who created this earth, God.

There´s a certain religion in Asia that is of this belief.In the Christian religion though,it´s neither a doctrin nor is it Biblical.God made man in his own image ,and animals for us to eat as food, otherwise there´s no other linkage!
The acceptance or refusal threof in regards to this question depends on one´s religious beliefs.

That would be so much FUN! Being a human is boring and I see way too many computer screens. I hope I would be at a zoo or in a home and have people caring for me 24/7

There is no afterlife to come back as animals in. Only eternity to dwell with or without the LORD forever.

Boy! Things would be much easier as the pampered companion to some lonely soul. The only thing that would be bad is if you were dressed up in some little outfit and/or neutered!
