one time he asked me out at a new year's eve party, and the next day I called to see if he was free, he dumped me. At a memorial day party, her asked me out, waited for about two weeks, and dumped me @ a party., I really want to get him back and show him I'm in control...I just really don't know how I should go about it. I don't want it to be hostile, I just want to prove my point.

he obviously doesnt see who you really are if he keeps dumping you. why do you think hes dumping you?? you dont deserve him you deserve better but if its who you really want then just proove to him who you can be. good luck.

The best way to prove that you are in control is to wash him out of your life.
If he ever tries to contact you, tell him that your life has moved on and he doesn't have a place in it. Tell him that you choose to include real men in your life - men who do not use, hurt and humiliate women. His track record disqualifies him. If he tries to apologize, tell him that you accept his apology if it is truly sincere but you are not prepared to let him into your life again.
There is an old saying which says" Burn me once, shame on you. Burn me twice, shame on me". In other words, history repeats itself and if you allow somebody to burn you more than once, you can only blame yourself. If he wants back into your life - you know what is going to happen.
If other friends, family or acquaintances talk about him, either stay quiet or announce the reasons that you have moved past him and let it go at that.
If you actively seek any form of revenge, it might come back to bother you later.

You really want to get him back and show him your in control?!? But you aren't in control, he is the center of your thoughts at the moment and to a certain degree is dictating your actions. Here is an idea. Forget him, stop seeking ways to continue this twisted interaction and move on with your life.

The best way you can get to this guy is to leave him the hell alone.....and ignore him.....you wanting to get him back indicates that you still have something for this guy....
Stand up, be a real woman and dismiss him immediately. Your actions will speak louder than words, tricks or games. The best way to get him back is to show no interest in him at all.
