Sorry for butting in Corey, but I'd like to correct the first answerer. A guy I know is into christian mysticism, he follows teachings of Bible/gnosticism/Kaballah ( jewish I know) and Rosicrucianism.

If you read the writings of Paul exclusively, and without your preconceptions of a historical Jesus, you can get into the mind of an early Christian mystic.

There are dozens taking off with the letters of Brother Lawrence and, "the way of the Pilgrim, Ascent of Mt. Carmal and one of those large volume of others. the only challenge with books about the 'a thanks to' of spirituality is that no man or woman does it yet those few who believe there is a few thing to be done. maximum individuals believe that that is sufficient to believe that is genuine and that is the top of it.
