and I'm staying in New York. She has t-mobile and I have verizon. Whats the best way for us to still talk on the phone without racking up charges and bills?
Is there a way to call another service for free, or a certain person with only a slight increase in pay?
any hope?

Yeah, its called E-MAIL. Use a landline or a phone card. Do you really want your eye candy to become and earpiece? Think about it.

Are you stuck in a calling plan? Have someone (a friend) take over your Verizon phone contract and switch to T-Mobile. Or get a Family Calling plan. Disconnecting your service may cost about $150-$175. It might be worth it because you will rack up higher bills being on different cell phone companies.

Why don't you see if T-mobile has t-mobile to t-mobile calls free. If they do you can get a cheap t-mobile prepay and use the $10.00 minutes they give you and that way it won't cost too much.

if you both have internet access you can both download skype and talk for free through that,,other than that ud need the same phone company that offers free unlimited minutes no matter where u call

If you have Alltell, then it would be free, because they have free cell to cell and then they have this thing where you can put 10 most frequently called numbers on and it's free to call them

well you could use the skype, i have one that's the best connection i have with my family members from overseas.
It's like a phone,you could dial it up then you could talk for free but you have to download it first, its best and you know it.
