In a way yes. Drugs are a substitute for wanting the perfect feeling. That feeling we all had before we were born and came to this earth to prove ourselves by trial. The feeling of being back with God in a perfect place. They just for a second give us those feelings but as with all things of that nature it is a lie. For the end result is always worse than the fleeting feeling that always comes up just short of getting there. And each time we try it the feeling is a little less, tempting us to increase the usage. I have found the real feeling, the true happiness, that comes with giving my life to the Lord. I have not yet been able to hold on to it all the time yet, but can say for sure that there are no side affects like being down or bad hangovers, just the wonderful feeling of love.

We do not MISTAKE ourselves to be gods. We ARE gods. You are playing in the playground of creation. There are no lies or truths, no good or evil - only nature - which is both and all - at once.
Be still within and outside yourself. Extend beyond the physical into the world around you. Sense all that there is for you to experience.
This is your playground. This is your home. This is nowhere and everywhere.

We mistake ourselves for God because of ego and hubris. Those who are secular do not mistake themselves for God, however, and often annoy those who do.
Yes, the species known as homo sapiens is addicted to self-gratification as well as self-glorification.
Keep notes so you know much you time you spent playing on the rollercoaster when you sober up. Many great minds used narcotics to come up with some of the most intriguing as well as debatable theories in history. You could be the next.

DUDE.....Uh...............DUDE!!
No, I have not mistaken myself for God. Never have , never will. The playground will always be there, it just keeps getting more run down until we realize it is no longer for us.

I'd go to the nearest mental health clinic and tell them that and they will probably give you better drugs. Good Luck:-)
