Anyone moving is a little afraid. It's natural. Be sure to join the clubs and sports that interest you or that you are in at your current school. All you will need is one good friend at the new school. Watch to see who smiles at you or seems friendly and try to make friends with them.

Hey, I've been in this situation before but under many different circumstances. In your case your going to move rather you like it or not. You and your friends can still be friends its just learning to keep in touch (which is usually easier said than done). And this doesn't mean that you can't make friends in North Carolina, they may just look at things differently than you. Though honestly I'd still play the guilt game on my parents til the last minute. And make the most of the time you have now to be with your friends since you won't see them again, for some time.

ok first.. you said you have a lot of people who dont talk to you and then you have a lot of friends. which is it? one.... your parents have to go where the money is...the house..the climate...and it is their lives. second..you can make friends... you are only in middle school so you can build lasting relationships. three... not everyone in n.c. is mean and you know that. you will always make news friends..as you get older..and move along in life..so get use to it..and enjoy it. you can write people..you can e-mail..there is the phone... and visits back maybe. but think of this as a new adventure..and a new start. just think no one knows you..so you can make a great first impression with no baggage from the past. chin up..have a great time.

You know what, I'm glad you have to move, with the racist language your using you deserve to lose your friends. Maybe you'll learn a lesson about life, You're gonna be around new people your whole life so stop bïtching and get the fück on with your life!

I've moved every year of my life at least once or twice a year... so get the fück over it and stop complaining because moving once isn't going to kill your a$$ your still a child you need to meet new people and have a fücking life!!!

I'm afraid you're probably not going to get your way unless something unexpected happens that stops your family moving. And even if your family does move you can still keep in touch with your old friends through phone/AIM/email and Myspace when you're a little older. And to make new friends at your new school don't be afraid to talk to people and join different clubs and stuff.

You are never going to be happy there if you keep up this attitude. I'm going to assume that your parents are moving there no matter what you request. Your best option is to suck it up and try to make the best of it. Maybe your parents as well as your friends parents can fly you guys back and fourth during school breaks to visit and stuff, you never want to leave your friends but as you grow older you will learn its a part of life....

it would actually be a good thing to meet new people because it gives you better character. you might not understand now, but once your looking for a job you'll really be glad that you became so social. being socialy active is just important as getting good grades and following your goals. the last thing you want is to grow up and never get married just because you dont want to take chances and meet new people.

Your making it harder on yourself than it really is. Im sorry if this hurts your feelings but, You should be excited to meet new people and make friends.

That's a hard question. You need to be with your family wherever you live. Hopefully you got to put your 2 cents in about where to live. I am doing the same thing to my 4 children next year but I am waiting for my oldest son to graduate high school. My children haven't complained about it. Go with your parents the next time they go to this new house and see if you can find something you like about the area, the house, your new school, etc... Good luck.

girlie....This would be the best time 2 move...If u move now, everybody @ ur school will be new (since it's the 1st yr. of middleschool)....If u move l8r...u will be the new one, which would be harder. U'll meet lots of new friends & everything will be okay...trust me!
+ if u move u get 2 start all over. Nobody knows anything about u, so u can minipulate the way they judge u!
Good Luck! :-)

You are the child, but you need to realize just because something sounds bad doesn't mean that it is. You never know, you might like the new place even better than the old place you just need to give it a chance and trust your parents, they got you this far didn't they?
