A pint is a unit of volume (or the measure of how much space something occupies). It does not directly give you the mass of a substance unless you know the density of the substance.
If you know the density of the substance you can figure out its mass by using the following equation.
Mass= Density x Volume
Here is the mass for a pint of some common substances:
1 pint of flour = 220 grams
1 pint of homogenized milk (@ 10 degrees Celsius) = 495.4 grams
1 pint of skim milk (@ 10 degrees Celsius) = 497 grams

A pint is a pound if it's liquid...Note that a pint is 16 ounces of volume, while a pound is 16 ounces of weight. The popular rhyme "A pint's a pound, the world around" can help you remember this, but keep in mind that they're not really equivalent.

It would depend on what the pint was, wouldn't it? A pint of chili would weigh more than a pint of water.

one is a fluid measurement and the other is a weight measurement so if you had a pint of water it will weight different than a pint of cool whip. so to find out you have to get a cup to measure a pint a scale to measure weight then get the weight of the cup empty then put your pint of fluid in the cup and get that amount then subtract the weight of the cup from the weight of the cup with the pint of what ever in it. then you will know how much a pint of ____ weights.
