Why are we using diplomacy with a country whose leader is crazy and has nuclear missile that can reach the United States, when he invaded a country with an insane leader that may have possibly had at one time nuclear weapons? The are really only 3 concrete differences.
1. North Koreans are Asian, Iraqia are Arab
2. Iraq has oil
3. Hussein tried to kill Bush Sr.

Well Iraq had very few connections with its neighbors. Saudi Arabia, Syria, Jordan, and Iran protested but did not aid or offer alternative solutions to the Iraqi war.

North Korean policy is controlled by three strong US allies - China, Japan, and Russia. The Chinese trade with North Korea, but have proposed strong measures. They would enter any war against North Korea, possibly devastating results. Japan wants peace and sanctions to negotiate as they are a peace-loving nation and fear the aggression of their neighbor. Russia also trades with North Korea and has argued against much of US policy

sufficient i think you've gotten been taking section in too a lot call of criminal responsibility... in the initiating, China & Russia are not North Korea's allies, they hate North Korea. China & Russia are interior the United international places with The U.S. If North Korea publicizes conflict on the US, then... good, so long North Korea. If Iran assaults Israel, which could be through far the stupidest component that they'd do, may be defeated through Israel. Israel is through a techniques absolutely the most advantageous middle jap u . s . on the prompt, and may defeat Iran through U.N. help. by the way, Iran does no longer attack Israel, Iran is easily-known with it will be defeated. in the adventure that they wanted to attack Israel, that they'd have done it. Iran only argues about what Israel does. So in reality, if N.ok. tries to attack South Korea, then the U.N. may invade North Korea and carry close it. North Korea might want to no longer have any help from any u . s ., quite now no longer Russia or China. China hates North Korea. Iran does no longer do some thing both. do not recommend those kind of issues that both out of three standard powers (China and Russia) may team up with this kind of disgusting u . s . (NK).

I think Bush was nothing special and had no real Agenda taking office in 2000 but after the 911 he had a chance to be remembered.
I believe he knew there were no weapons in Iraq, but he thought is was going to be a cake walk. North Korea is a different story and going to war with them would ruin the Republican chances of another election and Ruin the Bush Legacy that they Built.

Because diplomacy failed in Iraq. It took 14 years to get from point a to point b there. Diplomacy shows promise of working in North Korea. Your three "concrete differences" are neither differences nor concrete. They're coincidence and didn't figure into the decision to invade. 14 years of non-compliance, conspiracy with terrorists, and a willingness to produce and use weapons of mass destruction. Those are concrete reasons.

The US always tries to solve things thru Diplomatic means as much as possible. I think Bush sees this president as pure 'Monkey Business' and that type of attitude is the one he took with 9/11, he thought that these terrorists were not capable of touching us on our own soul. We are living in dangerous times, indeed. Bottom line, Bush thinks that their nuclear arsenal is poor and inferior and is not (yet) capable of reaching US shores. He also spoke about a nuclear war-head deterrant up in space to protect us down here. His interest in doing good for Iraq is of course Oil.

Answer #2 is my answer. We have nothing to gain by invading North Korea, so we've ignored it...so far. Who cares about human rights abuses, no?

Unfortunately for the C.E.O. of America, George Bush, we can't ignore them much longer because if we do, we'll definitely risk losing something...our relative security in this nuclear-obsessed world.

Its all about oil. North Korea has nukes and the missiles to send them. Iraq has oil, had an area we knew, had a military we had already beaten, and had a leader whose actions we could predict.

Well, because they don't have nukes that can reach us. They (might) have nukes that can crash and burn in the Sea of Japan. North Korea isn't dangerous, they just want us to think they are. Kim Jong Il talks loudly but has a very small stick. He wants attention, and he wants us to give him things like we did last time.

I've been wondering the same thing. North Korea scares me more than Iraq ever did.

What total dorks - We tried diplomacy with everyone. It is hard to work with terrorist & does 9-11 ring a bell with you children.
American imports 3% of its oil from Iraq. Our biggest supplier of oil is Canada & they are a whole lot easier to take over. They are neighbors, no deployments needed. More friendly climate & they are more civilized in their fighting, no suicide bombing or road bombs. IT IS NOT ABOUT OIL!! If it was, we would take Canada.
