He can drink as much water as he wants. I would be careful that he doesn't get pieces of ice in his mouth because they could be a choking hazard. I would make sure that in addition to the water he gets at least 3 8oz classes of milk per day so that he gets the calcium he needs.

I give my 1 year old as much as she will drink, if I include ice I don't put much (she doesn't like it too cold) and I put it in a sippy cup (to prevent choking on the ice).

As much as he wants, iced or not. I would be careful with the ice chunks as he is too young to have chunks due to potential choking.

I'D BE VERY CAUTIOUS GIVING THAT PRECIOUS LIL GUY ALL THAT ICE WATER. COOL TAP IS THE WAY TO GO. THE CONSTANT COLD WILL GIVE HIM THE RUNS AND MESS UP HIS BELLY.
