You are not huge, but you probably aren't even fat, either. Some girls are just curvy, and I bet you are one of them. I am sorry you don't like to be slightly chubbier in the girl parts than all your friends. I understand how that could make you feel insecure. But I want to tell you some secrets about being the "thick" girl in the group...

Not all men like skinny girls. When they hug them, some guys feel like they may hurt them. When they hug a curvy girl, they can squeeze and really show their love. Curvy girls are seen as women, more sophisticated and more "beautiful" than the skinny gorls. Actually more feminine, too. Being the curvy one automatically makes you more attractive in a male's subconcious. It is unfortunate because they will chat up your skinnier friends because they probably think you are "out of their league." But the quality ones will want you for theirselves. Don't chase after boys who don't think they are good enough for you.

Curvy girls can't wear what the skinny girls wear. We get more fun things, like detailed skirts and structured skirts. If you wear what looks good on your body type, you will look way better than the teeny girls who look like girls playing dress-up. Just make sure your shorts are long enough to cover your butt when you bend over and your shirts are cut to cover your love handles and your breasts. Try on sizes you think are too big, sizes run different in different brands, they may look the best on you! Take your time when picking a swimsuit- they make awesome bikini's for the curvy girls!

And if you still want to be skinny and lose weight fast, I can help there, too. First, take a multi-vitamin every day. No matter what, take that vitamin. It has the right kind of vitamins and minerals to make your metabolism speed up, and it's all natural. Only drink water. Only drink water. One more time- only drink water. And eat like you normally do, except don't finish it. Leave 1/4 of your food on the plate. And find some fun form of exercise, I enjoy belly dancing. (If you are a curvy girl, it helps by moving the body in ways that tone it and you are burning calories at the same time... it is literally the perfect exercise and nobody has to see you or your belly dancing. You can do it in private.) I suggest that you buy Belly Dance by Anja. All this will help you tone up and slim down by the end of August.

Hang in there and meanwhile, enjoy that you are the only "different" kind of sexy than all your friends.

I do the Slimfast diet. The first week I lost 6 pounds! The first month I lost 15 pound total. I also exercised, took vitamins, ate alot of fruit and vegetables, drank water and crystal light.
Try to cut down on all starches (rice, potatoes, bread, pasta)
Cut out salt. Drink diet soda's. Eat lean chicken and cut all the skin and fat off your meats. Use a smaller plate at meals and do not take seconds. Lay off on desserts. Try fruit w/ low fat/low calorie coolwhip, Make pudding w/ skim milk, Jello,1 mini candy bar, ect.
You gotta excercise alot. Walking, bike riding, excercise videos, ect.
Do not only do this kind of stuff for the summer. Keep doing it all the time and you will be amazed at all the energy you will get and how great you'll look and feel. Pretty soon YOUR friends will be the jealous ones!
Best of luck!

The key to losing weight (in my opinion) is finding a healthy routine for exercising and eating. Start by finding a time of the day where it is convinient to go to the gym or do a home workout (plan for at least an hour). Every day durring this time you want to start by warming up with a mild cardio workout... running for about 15 minutes at your target heart rate, or using an eliptical machine, bike, or anything else of that general nature. The idea is to get your heart going. After that, do a few stretches. This is very important so that you don't hurt yourself... at first it will feel like you aren't flexible, but you will see a noticable change within a few days. After stretching choose a few opposite muscle groups (bicep/tricep, quad/hamstring, abs/back...etc.) and do 3 sets; first set use reletively light weight and do 12-15 reps, second set use slightly higher weight and do 10-12 reps, third set use heavy weight and do 8-10 reps. every day work on different muscle groups so that you don't work the same muscles two days in a row. Its always a good idea to end a workout with a few sets or crunches and then stretching. So that's it for the working out part... next is "diet"..
When I say diet I don't mean to stop eating or count arbs or anything that extreme. A few things you want to do though are alter your eating habits so that you eat about 5 "meals" a day. Not big meals with multiple courses, but 5 small to moderate meals. For example, have for breakfast a piece of toast with peanutbutter, a banana and a glass of milk, next "meal" eat a small salad (avoid iceberge lettuce) with veggies and a light dressing, next eat a piece of lean meat (or veggie protien substitute if vegitarian) with a small side of rice... continue with small meals like those. A few keys to properly planning your diet is to remember to eat a high protien meal within an hour before your workout and another high protien meal within an hour after your workout. A good meal substitute before and after your workout is a protein shake that can easily taste better by blending in some of your favorite frozen fruits (strawberries/peaches...). Well, I hope this helps. I started doing this about two months ago and even after a month I saw a great improvement.

I'm trying to loose weight before school too. My friends are REALLY TINY and it is harder being short. I weigh 150 pounds, 5ft2 height, and I'm 13. I am overweight aswell, but I am also extremely muscular, much more so than my tiny friends. I just suggest diet, and excercise. Maybe join a gym? I just think that u should do it as a personal standard, not to meat the standards of ur friends. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!

The only sure fire way to lose weight is to eat fewer calories than you burn. Try to knock off the easy sources of empty calories. Switch from reg to diet soda or quit soda altogether and drink water. Eat smaller portions. Sustitute a bowl of cereal with skim milk for one or two meals a day
Get more exercise: take a walk.Walk in the mall if its h too hot out.

okay im also trying to lose weight before school starts. try hitting the gym for an hour a day. i go on the treadmill for about 30 running/walking then use the rest of the time doing toning workouts with free weights.

you should also cut out "junk" foods...which include ICE CREAM AND CHIPS :) those are hard to get rid of i know -___-:

you could build up your self confidence in the meantime...go on a shopping spree! and feel good about yourself! ^^ that always helps me

I lost 85lbs in a year. Slowly replace your regular drinks with water. Try to eat alittle less, replace snacks with healthier ones. Instead of chips try peanuts. and start to exercise do a little at first than work your way up. Remember, the weight didn't just happen overnight and you wont loose it all overnight, and there is no miracle drug Just stay with and take things in small steps. If your determined you'll get there.

I agree with 7FAM, proper nutrition and exercise. There are no magic pills, being consistent on sticking to what is healthy to eat and getting enough exercise.
Get "full" on healthy foods, and spend more time burning calories. Make it fun.
Join a sports team, swim team, execise team, etc.
