I highly recommend Paul Mitchell for colored hair.

I never purchase shampoo or conditioner from a hair salon because of the price. I would recommend going to JC Penney or Walmart (some have small salons inside) where you can get a big shampoo and Conditioner for around $20, they usually run specials and you can get a good deal. Same quality product, different price.

I use redken extreme it does cost more but I find that I don't have to use as much of it as I do the cheaper products. I have long hair and when I was using say Dove for example I had to use like half the bottle of conditioner every time I washed my hair.

It may seem a little pricier, but the lack of sulfates makes it go alot further. And it smells heavenly.

I don't have color treated hair but my best friend doesn't. She lightened her hair so she uses Dove for lightned hair. And if you darkened it then use Dove of darkened hair.
