Going to Church and being a christen does not make anyone elite from life's tragedies. "Bad things happen to good people". God only puts on us what he knows we can handle. In the event that things are going wrong, and you feel you can't get thru it, totally rely on prayer and faith, because God is there for you. These trials and tribulations teach you much more about life. The more that is put on you the more you seem to understand and have compassion for others. I have learned thru my life, that all I have experienced has lead me to a place in time, that I don't take much for granted, I understand how imperfect I really am, and I know for sure that when I am lost, that God can find me. I also know that loved ones can be taken away from you, in a blink of an eye. This has taught me to always solve disputes immediately and last words when some one leaves me is," I love you."

Because we live in a fallen world. When God made the world He made Adam and eve . God said you can eat from any tree in the Garden. But Satan came along in the form of a snake and deceived eve to eat the fruit. Sadly Eve ate the fruit and gave some to Adam. God gives us a free choice, like He gave Adam and eve. They were deceived but there consequences

would we get to know God if life was perfect? would we still call on his name if don't know what hardship, suffering or sorrow is?

We often wish we could escape troubles - the pain of grief, loss, sorrow, and failure; or even the small daily frustrations that constantly wear us down. God promises to be "close to the brokenhearted," to be our source of power, courage, and wisdom, helping us through our problems. Sometimes he chooses to deliver us from those problems. When trouble strikes, don't get frustrated with God. Instead, admit that you need God's help and thank him for being by your side.

Psalm 34:18 (NIV)
18The LORD is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit

all those things you are talking about are just a part of life... going to church doesnt make you immune to the world around you! you'd be foolish to think you are never going to die and things will always be how you want them to be. life is not about getting your way...

life is about challenges, about choices, about responsibilities and what you do with all these things. learning to deal with these events when they happen, and learning to deal with the people and challenges that comes your way is what makes life worth living. there are billions of people in the world, good and bad people die... and if you believe in God, you should be keeping a positive attitude about things... and know deep down inside that everything is going to work out how its supposed to.

Because that's the way life is. Going to church may make your insides feel good, but it has nothing to do with what wonderful events or horrible tragedies may befall you.

God works in mysterious, and often just plain odd ways. Because incase you haven't noticed disasters bring people together, and God makes it especially difficult for christians because he knows that they'll stick to their faith. And if anything like my family, He'll give them the power to convert people
