it is just the icing on the cake. if you do not have true feelings for one another the sex will get boring after a while. if you have a relationship you should be able to be with each other without having sex.

i think its both actually. u cant have a loving and trusting relationship without sex ( however u could have sex without the relationship, but it is not the point) . people talk about sex because it is an interesting topic. when u in relationship sex is very intimate act no matter what people say. so i think it is very important as much as friendship, respect and commitment to the person.

Both,
Commitment TO EACH OTHER comes first and if the commitment is there the sex will be there. Now if you have NO SEX you have an OBVIOUS loss of commitment unless you have a SERIOUS Health concern.
