No. DUI is not a 'crime involving moral turpitude' (just bad judgement) so will not affect a naturalization application. See page 25 of the Naturalization Guide below: it mentions "HABITUAL drunkeness or drunk driving." A single conviction is excusable.

It depends on the circumstances surrounding her DUI.If it is her first time DUI and no accident resulting to lost of lives nor minor in the car during her initial arrest the she will not be denied of her citizenship.

No, i know of a couple of people whom had a couple of dui's and other than getting fines and community service, it did not affect anything. but do watch out for your friends and all it takes is fake friend to invite you to a party and he/she offers you a couple of drinks and sees you leave, they pick up the phone and report your drunk driving to the cops, and they bust you. then they turn you into slave, where you are working just for your freedom...sad but very true.

It should affect her eligibility. Driving under the influence is deliberately breaking the law and endangering the lives of other people. I have no respect for people who behave like that.
