Best Ive seen was a farmer who used the family farm, specifically the corn field, and spent 3 weeks cutting down a 4' wide path spelling out will you marry me. In the corn field. Then convinced her to go for an airplane ride with the company that sprays the field so she saw the message. allot of work and a lot of money but cool.

Well, I'll tell you the way I'll propose.

She'll be out for a walk with her girlfriend in the park. I'll be dressed up as a Mime and the girlfriend will pay for an act.

I'll walk by, do the heart pounding action, then propose (all silent) and pop out a candy ring as a gag. Then, I'll trhow it away and pull out the real one.

While this is happening, friends of hers will be coming from behind and when she accepts, they'll all clap. There will be a picnic setup a ways into the park.

I'm not a romantic. But I believe every woman deserves a great memory like that.

Best wedding proposal ever!

The woman is very close to her Uncle Jim. The man approaches Uncle Jim and asks for a way to propose to the woman and the two come up with a brilliant plan. First, the Uncle decides that he is going to fake his own death and no one will know but the man and the uncle. The woman is saddened by the event and goes to the man for comfort. The man comforts the woman for 2 weeks before the funeral service, and on the day before he says that he has to fly out of the state on a business trip and can't make it to the funeral. Naturally, the woman is even more saddened, and attends the wake feeling miserable. At the wake, the woman is hysterical and approaches her Uncle Jim's casket to pay her last respects. As she approaches, to her surprise she sees the face of her man, who instantly opens his eyes and leaps to his feet! The Uncle then greets the woman from behind and the man asks for the womans hand in marriage!

How romantic!

A professor in college had pictures as proof of taking her fishing and tying the ring to the end of the fishing line. He actually cast it out into the water and let her fish for a while before telling her that she probably needed another worm. She reeled in and there he was on one knee.

Kind of risky if you ask me. If you decide to do this then I would mitigate the risk with deep water w/o anything to get snagged on and also a bobber to keep the line from going too far down. Also get some deep sea fishing test line

You know the episode in 7th Heaven where Mary is proposed to in the middle of the airport, and he uses his class ring? I always thought this was the sweetest idea in the whole world, and I told my aunt and uncle that. This was long before I met my husband, but that's how he proposed to me. He got down on one knee, held out his class ring and said, "Destiny, will you marry me?" Of course I said yes, with tears streaming down my face. I think that as long as it comes from the heart, any woman will love the way she is proposed to.

my fiance proposed to me when we were out at the casino. We were watching a band and he had the band say that he had an announcement. he got down on one knee with a key ring lol yes a key ring and he asked me to marry him i mean of course i said yes they made a big spectacle of us all night while we were there and we are thinking of having that band play at our wedding. It was really the most romantic thing that any man has ever done for me. And i do love him dearly and cannot wait till the day that we marry.

I have heard plenty of proposal stories, but none of them were that creative. The majority of men do not seem to be creative, they copy and modify the ideas of the handful of men who are.

A friend of mines boyfriend decided to propose on a star filled night on the beach. The plan was to to take her for a walk along the shore. As he came close to where he was going to propose, he would distract her attention by pointing to something completely random. Then they would come across some candles in the sand that spelled out 'Will you marry me?' and then get down on one knee with ring in hand. It actually went better then planned. They were walking along the shore. As they were holding hands, he was trying to find something to distract her attention. To his suprise, he noticed some dolphins jumping out of the water and into the moonlight. He showed her just as they got to the point where he needed to distract her. They got to the candles and he got on one knee and she said yes, of course. I find that to be pure luck on his part and more romantic then he had planned it out to be.

When I first met my (then future) wife, she said the only way she'd get married was with a bottle of tequila in one hand, a certificate of insanity in the other, and a spatula (the spatula is a story unto itself).

Reader's Digest version:
When the time came that I was going to propose I obtained a spatula, a nice plastic one with a cutting edge; created a certificate of insanity, printed on heavy stock complete with illegible doctor's signature; bought a small bottle of tequila, complete with worm.

While watching the sun go down over a lake up in the Canadian Shield, I pulled out the certificate for her to read. As she read it, I pulled out the spatula and the tequila, then got down on one knee in front of her. When she looked up, I held out the tequila and the spatula and asked, "Will you marry me?" With tears in her eyes, she said, "Yes."

I proposed at the Pantages Theatre in Toronto, Ontario during a performance of Phantom of the Opera, with her parents sitting beside her, and they never knew. We told them two weeks later!

My sisters husband had a picture taken of him holding the ring, and put it on her computer as a screen saver while she was out. When she came home there were several friends there and he called her to the computer and told her to sit down and look at the screen. he turned on the computer and stepped back, when she realized what was on the screen she started screaming and turned around and he was on one knee with the ring and asked her to marry him, she was so excited she forgot to say yes!!!!!
