Its simple---They work as a team and everyone helps the other. Its the "we mentality".

They car pool. Everyone chips in for gas, insurance, car payment.

They live together--everyone has the same goals. Everyone chips in for rent.

They work together--- If miguel is sick.....carlos covers for him.
They cook as a family-- Everyone chips in and the ladies cook.
They are resposible for each other-- everyone has a role to play.

I am an immigrant (legal) and we did this for 7 years.....Today we all have 4 masters education and one undergrad. One 3bdrm house and a condo. Cars are the least i wont even comment on that..But the important factor is the "we mentality". They work as a team......Trust me it works. And yes they preffer cash than any credit card.

Well, this is just personal observation, but there are a decent amount living in my city (in the Northeast), and they save a lot of money by living together. They have 6-8 people living in an apartment instead of 2 or 3, and they live cheaply. No new cars, no IPods, no cable, broadband, etc. I don't know many illegals in debt. I know PLENTY of Americans in debt. In fact, pretty much every American I know has (many) credit cards and new cars every two years, etc.
Anyone can get into debt... Americans or illegals.

PS. As a college student, I did it... I lived on less than minimum wage (I didn't have mommy and daddy to help me). Living on less than minimum wage is extremely difficult, but Americans do it too!

It is a myth that most illegals make less than minimum wage. I guess if it gets repeated often enough everybody will believe it though. There is no magic, they just have our jobs. They will work for less so they bring wages down for everybody. Just not below or even near minimum wage. Have you ever been at the grocery store and watched some of them cash their checks? They couldn't make that much on minimum wage if they worked 24/7.

There no magic, just do with out the thing we American take for granted, like being in debt up to our eyeball!! The illegals pool all their money together for everything. Live 8 or more together and eat lot of eggs, pinto bean!!! They even share woman"s!! Most will work long hours.Yes, a -lot of them r getting a free ride off our money!!!

It's not hard to survive on less than minimum wage. Ask any college student. You just have to carefully budget. Also, illegals are eligible for, and DO get, welfare.

Well for one thing they dont have any credit so no there is no debt, seccond they live in very small houses with many other people so all they really need to spend is money for food. They dont pay medical bills or any other bills for that matter, so with out all that they need very little to survive

yo cerraro - they' ve no powers just poverty and to be here in a gr8 land of plenty u know is easy to get into debt .. they send out borrow stuff to freshman in college to get a charge cars already accepted.. so.. in USA it is easy to get into debt.. and u don't have to be illegals either here to be that way.. they just want nice things as we all do BUT if they cant pay back debts or anyone the taxpayers in Ohio electrical company now have to -pay debts for that crazy crap and it is unfair.. to make USA ppl who pay taxes to pay fro the loans or debts ppl cant pay so.. they must go to a class to learn how to budget a buck starting in high school preferably.. illegals shoudl be deported as we need our own jobs.. they should be gone history not even the chance to get into debt if they have no green card.. sorry for all those who wanted freedom to come here but taxes and fairness is due to us the hardworkes here..

most don't get minimum wage, they get more.

But they spend nothing they have to and save everything they can. One woman I saw on TV said she saved $5,000 a year to send to Mexico.

On my best year I couldn't save that. They only way I could do stuff like that is stop showering so I'd have no rent.

Uh, no magical powers needed, when you live 20 to a house, free school lunches free school breakfasts, low income housing. low interest loans(and don't tell me they don't receive these, Well Fargo banks give them loans)
No car insurance. Free medical care, it goes on and on. By the time US citizens pay for all this stuff, we are making $4.00 and hour.
