We've had birthdays there but it was always just our family sitting at a normal table. From what I've seen when other people have birthdays there they do look very rushed and also it's just so crowded there it's hard to have a good time whether you are having a party or not. It's hard to keep up with the kids and everything and it doesn't seem worth it to me. But hey, if your kid had a good time then thats all that matters I guess.

Chuck E Cheese is for people who don't want to have a birthday party for the kids in their own home. Unless you have a weekday party the party is 90 minutes long. And in the winter there may not be an available table for you to move to so it means you are rushed out the door.
I find house parties warmer and more inviting but if you don;t want people in your house CEC isn't the worst alternative. But my experience is that the parents don't have a good time but the children always do. The parents seem to expect something more, and the kids just want to have fun... and they do. CEC parties are not personal and if the other parents hang around to each the $15 a kid shoots up to $25 for the extra pizza and drinks.
Best bet if you have to have a weekend party... schedule the last party of the night. You won't get rushed off the table and still have a little extra time to play. Since its after dinner time just give the parents that stay a cup and let them drink.
By the way: I'm a Chuck E Cheese survivor having worked there for three years and I'm an aunt who has hosted at least a dozen parties there.

The kids love this place, I had my son birthday party there a couple of times. they love it! You're right they rush you, because it's a business place and they have a lot of birthdays to celebrate, especially weekends are crowed. along with kids there for fun, the place is a business that kids love go.

Over priced, kids dont really care and the food is way too expensive. Plan a party in the park and let the other parents join in and plan a nice family style party

my son was trying to take other peoples pizza!!
a good alternative to chuckie cheese's is mcdonalds. its cheaper, the kids have choices of what they eat and you dint get rushed at all.
