immediately after you touch the pot you should run cold water on the burn. this helps cool the skin. even though you're not still touching the pot, yoru skin is still continuing to burn until you cool it down.

Very cold water always feels good. You can buy a first aid spray that relieves pain too. If you have it use it. If the burn is bad, better get it checked out by a doctor.
Aloe is great too! NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, use butter or lard. That will cause the burn to be worse. It will actually hold in the heat even though the butter may be temporarily cold from the frig.

Run the burned area under a running cold tap for ten minutes (and yes the cold will start to hurt but it's doing good. For other areas that cant go under the tap, get into a cold bath.
Once the burn is cold, wrap it in clingfilm (if you need to go to the ER) or a lint free bandage to protect it from the gunk outsde.

Well I've done this several times and I've noticed that water on the burn tends to irritate the burn further..... I've tried mustard and it's helps. Aloe vera is good for recovery on the burn.

My wife did this yesterday as a matter of fact. She put a magnet with infrared attached to it on the burn and the pain stopped instantly.

run your hand under cold water or use butter/oleo for the pain....also keep an aloe plant at home just snip the top squeeze the goop and the pain will stop and heal faster

That happened to me in a crowded street market in asia and someone gave me a stinky yellow cream called Tiger Balm. It smelled bad but it worked. Well I know you probably wont have any of that stuff lying around, but if you ever find yourself in asia and that happens to you, it works!

put the affected part immediately under running tap cold water for soem time then apply turmeric paste with water or penthanol cream.you will see the difference.
