Go on, throw you a good ol fashioned hissy fit and see where it gets you. The current heads of government are not about to allow anyone to get in the way of their power and money.

Unfortunately the time to be furious was before the war started. Once you step in ****, until you clean it all out of your shoes, you cannot come back in your own house. Bush arrogance let the great US Military to step on a big pile of ****, and it stinks. Too many men, women, and children are dead over poor policies, and mere arrogance.
I think any person (democrat or republican) got to be so blind not to admit Iraq was a big mistake.
I think any reasonable person would have to agree that the war did not help US or the world one bit. I think our security is in worse condition then we first started the Iraq invasion.
Having said this, I also know the troops cannot just pack up and come home. We need to position our return well, and the government and order we leave behind should at least hold for 6 months to save our face. After that, I am afraid there will be an internal war in Iraq which may spread to entire middle east. If Iraq splits, there will definitely be a regional war involving multiple countries including NATO and US ally Turkey.
I hope Bush does not go down the history as the initiator of the 3rd WW or the 21st century Middle East War!

Having lost 2 friends that I formerly served with in the army, and for a cause which has changed on more than 3 occasions, I find our continued inflammatory presence in this civil war torn country to be nothing short of a war crime on our commander in chump's part. Unless you have served, you have no experience and therefore can't fully know the degree to which our soldiers have been misguided and lied to. We need to step out as an occupying force, bring the majority of our troops home, and send in a UN peace keeping force, which of course, would still be primarily motivated by US troops, but we would not be an empire building authority, which we are seen as currently.

Yes, If we had fought the war as it should have been fought, it would have been over at least 2 years ago.Their would be a lot more Iraqis dead and more stuff destroyed. But I would prefer that over hanging our soldiers out to dry in a war with their hands tied.
I think we should bring the troops home with the understanding that if and when any terrorists attacked or killed any American or American Ally, the entire region would immediately be Nuked and we can start from scratch.
Problem is, western society is run by pansies and would never follow through with such a simple proposition.

The military is like any other Job. It is their job to do what they are told to do. Otherwise they should have never joined. I was one of them I knew the consequences and I did my part not just for my country but for all humanity. Furious with the situation no! Just furious with people making comments about it and yet they don't do anything to make a difference. Truth is anything that happens around this whole world affects every nation every individual at one point or another. Just like the food chain, even the smallest micro organism has some effect to some extent in this world.

duck_kreeves- Kudos. Listen to what he has to say, he's in the military and he knows exactly why and whats happening and the morale of most troops there. Don't come here asking such lame questions, with your pettiness expecting sympathy back, your only making matters worse by asking the same damn question every other anti-war; bush; Republican etc. ask. Funny thing is it's the people who want the war to end who come here pleading, ask someone serving, I bet 9/10x they'll tell you they need to stay there to finish whats been done and need your support not your blabbing. Just respect the fact that they are doing their job; you do yours. Imagine if the troops came, just pretend they did, holy shiitt, it would seem like we just sit on our problems.

If you new anyone over there you would probably have a different opinion. Most people who disagree with it are either racist against the middle eastern people (because the don't care about there lives), or the are ignorant. Most of the people fighting aren't even Iraqi. Do you know what insurgent means? Please educate yourself with something besides the left wing media before you make decisions. Not many things have given me more joy than giving shoes to Iraqi children who haven't ever owned a pair.

most people want our troops home. i know i do but, now that were there and are starting a new government there we have to stay and help till they can help themselves. if we left now an iraqi warlord would over throw the government and we would be right back where we were with saddam NO freindly contacts in iraq to buy cheap oil from. which is why we're "thruthfully" there in the first place. so they will come home as soon as the iraqi government can support and defend itself.

Furious? yes ,surprised? no.The United States has already started to build huge concrete buildings in Iraq that will house thousands of soldiers as a permanent base so they can muster up and walk through Iran ,Syria,Jordan and the rest of the middle east for oil and profit and the New World Order.George W.Bush is a murdering Nazi liar.Check out the link to see what the mainstream media in the US is not showing you. www.thelastoutpost.com/site/1013/default.aspx

Who peed in your cornflakes? We will come home when their troops are trained well enough. They will begin coming home in Oct or Nov & will be pretty much out within a year. You do not decide to go home & pack up 130,000 troops at once. I have family there but do not want to see their newly elected Democratic goverment fall, just so Democrats can say "See they cut & ran " just like we said they would.
