when i go to control panel and i try to uninstall McAfee it says "Could not open INSTALL.LOG file".

Delete the index.dat files for mcafee.............
It will be gone then.................

Because McAfee products are cr@p. Look at todays news. McAfee tried to charge the government to fix a security error in their program by saying iot was an upgrade. They are liars! Do not buy their products!

you have to go to ms explorer and find mcafee ther and delete each file one at a time. then run a spyware program like spybot to delete the crap they place on your drive.
if that fail go to the mcafee site and download an uninstall program
