Go to Good Will and get some old Cowboy boots and Spray Paint them White. Or you can go to Michaels or Hobby Lobby and find pots shaped like cowboy boots. Gets lots of wild flowers or flowers with very long stems and use the boots as flower holders and centerpieces. Istead of using tulle to decorate use rope and when its time to make the speech use a dinner bell instead of tapping the champagne glass. Find a great barbeque place to cater and for fun find a great cowgirl hat and attach a veil to it for a fun pic. Have country and western played at your wedding or find a great local band to sing. Daisies and Sunflowers are great flowers for a Western themed wedding. Sunflowers gorw naturally many places and can really save you on the costs. For favors for the guests you can hand out seed packets of fruits and veggies to plant on their "farm" Have the seed packets printed with a cute phrase like, "Thank you for sharing our special day, may our love grow like the fruits of a garden" (they have much better ideas, I have seem them) with your name and date, or you can find little cowboy hats and fill them with peanut brittle candy or salted peanuts and attach a simple favor tag. There are several invitations out there that are western themed too. The internet is at your fingertips, you can fid some great ideas almost anywhere.

country and western doesn't have to go "cowboy".
think: wildflowers in jars
candles in jars tied w/ rafia and hung at varied heights
down home cooking -or even picnic chic
hire a wagon to give hay rides (very romantic)
the attire can reflect your theme w/o getting costume-y. Melissa Sweet designed some dresses for last season that would be beautiful.
let your maids wear real daisy-chain tiaras.
stacked trunks to spruce up the reception area. they can be stacked high enough to use as a sign-in table as well.
have mismatched china in varied family patterns.
serve sweet iced tea and real lemonade
southern charm w/o the rodeo.
hope this helps!

Get bandanas and use them for napkins. Is it a casual wedding? If so, let people know the theme in advance so that they know how to dress. Provide people with bandanas at the reception. Mason jars with candles are beautiful and rustic.

well use alot of red & blue bandannas, boots, cowboy hats, make signs, "look who tied the knot", and have it circled in a lasso rope.you could get some cowboy/western posters, pictures and lean them up against the wall and get some kerosene lanterns or glass lanterns , but use colored water, or use the large mason jars with flowers (Daisy's or black eyes Susan's or wild flowers,or candles, you could use horse blankets, halters, and even have a saddle on a saw horse. by the way june 12, 2010 will be our 28th wedding anniversary. i hope it's as lucky for you as it was for us. we got married on my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary.

Use ropes and hoseshoes instead of streamers, that you can get at party supply stores or use your imagination to make them,
also you should use little western style boots on the table and put flowers in them.
