I'll repeat what I've written in response to a similar question:
Does anyone really believe that someone wasn't going to mess up at SOME point in the Garden of Eden?! That someone wasn’t going to bite the forbidden fruit at some point or curse or lie or something? Or that a mischevious snake was talking to them? Additionally, who exactly was recording this stuff since Adam and Eve were the only people around at that point? It’s a made up parable designed to keep people from asking too many questions in Christianity. Patriarchial religious leaders also saw it as a way to keep women subservient.
Additionally, how is it even possible that we all ascended from Adam & Eve? Who had sex with whom? I've heard two theories.. one about "The others" in the land of Nod whom their children married. Which makes no sense since Adam & Eve are supposedly the first people who were created and that all people on this earth came from them (including every single race from Eskimo to Aborigines) I've also heard that their children simply married each other and that brothers and sisters had to be husband and wives to each other. Still, how do you explain such a variation of races and cultures and such if we all descend from Adam & Eve? Most Christians believe that humans were created about 6 thousand years old (never mind that dinosaur bones are millions of years old). Even if all the races of the world were caused by genetic mutations or variations of some sort, it would take a lot longer than 5-6 thousand years to have all these races exist. It’s not even scientifically possible anyway for two people to create all the races of the world.
Noah’s Ark: So, ok, the world's getting repopulated again after the great flood wipes out the wicked. Noah’s family members are the only people left on earth? More incestual orgies!! And don't forget, all the races of the earth have to come from Noah and his family now. And damn, that must have been kind of hard to fit every single kind of animal on his boat too. There are thousands and thousand of species so, it probably took a while to round up all the different elephants, polar bears, poisonous snakes, penguins, tigers, etc. Must have been especially hard to find a penguin in the Middle East.

That story is flawed anyway. Think about it. Adam and Eve had two sons. One of which killed the other. so after Adam and Eve die, there is this one Male wondering the earth alone. ANd how could two people populate the entire world. That would mean every one was related. Look at that story as hypothetical or symbolic. Don't take it literally.

This is a basic rundown of mans evolution
Most scientists believe man came out of africa. Man is naturally migratory and traveled around the world. When they would get some where,t hey would evolve to adapt to there surroundings. IE europeans dont need as much pigment in their skin because the sun isnt as aggressive as say india or africa. Asians adapted their eyes based on the way the sun hits the continent (i dont remember how that worked but someone told me that) And so on.
Latinos arent a race. Latinos are a mixture of indian (native) and caucasion.

Adam and Eve were neither black nor white. They were darker, as people from the middle east are. They were intelligently designed to include all races in their genetic makeup in a recessive fashion. For example, my mom has blue eyes. I have had no children with blue eyes (bummer-I have four and I'm done). However, the blue eyes sit there in a sense untouched. By statistics, eventually I would have a child with blue eyes, if I kept having children for the next number of years. The recessive gene for blue eyes could come out in one of my grandchildren or great grandchildren. To them it may be a surprise; however, to me it would not be a surprise as my mother has blue eyes. The genes can be passed down from generation to generation and remain "dormant". Eye color is just an example. Of course, all physical characteristics are subject to this recessive gene pool.

Don't know what race Adam & Ever were. Perhaps they were a cross between the known races we have today. Perhaps they were a race that no longer exists. But I do know that all people can be tracded back to Noah's sons after the flood. Europeans can be traced back to Japheth, Africans to Ham & Asians (including all Western Hemisphere nativces) to Shem. See Genesis Chapter 10 and Google "Table of Nations."

Taking your question out of the context of Adam and Eve, the first remains of human beings were found in Africa. Skin color comes from climate exposure and is passed down through genetics. It is possible that Africa was once much cooler than it is now. So we dont know that Africans were as dark as they are now. It is also possible that skin color can, over time and generations become lighter depending on the climate. Its a form of adaptation. In Europe were the climate is much colder, people stayed indoors more. This created different hereditary traits such as recessive hair, eye color and lighter skin tone.

For sure Adam and Eve were the same race, the human race
As you know the human race comes in exactly one color, melanin, but in many interesting shades
They may have both been an in between shade, like olive skinned and had the genetic diversity between the two for all races seen today
They may have differed in shades, one being a handsome shade at one end of the genetic spectrum and ther other at the other end.
so yes they were both members of the human race, but had the genetic variations in the combination to produce the Italianos and Eskimos

Your skin color depends on where your ancestors came from.
Like, you know how when you go out in the sun, you get a tan and your skin becomes darker? It's like that, only over thousands of years.
White skinned: They were in Northern Europe, where it is cold and not sunny, so their skin is not dark.
Brown skinned: They live more out in the desert, so their skin is darker.
Black/African: Africa is one of the hottest places on Earth. There is a lot of sun here, and the people here were obviously in the sun so much that they got more and more melanin in their skin.
As for Asians, I heard it was that they lived on mountains that had very high altitudes, and something about that made their eyes the way they are.

Catholics believe that the Bible contains religious truth but not always historical fact.
The Creation stories in Genesis tell the religious truth that God created the world and it was good.
It does not matter what color Adam and Eve were.
What matters is that our first human parents were created by God, given the gift of free will, and chose to disobey God.
With love in Christ.
