That can be appropriate because well it seems like a smart thing to do because while all those other people are standing you are comfortably sitting. LOL A very clever idea indeed. : )

It would seem like a clever idea until you actually did it. You never wait long enough in any of those lines to be able to sit down anyway. You would have to constantly move your chair. You would actually exert more energy then if you just stood there and waited. But you can if you want to. Go ahead and go all out though. Bring some food and a cooler. Bring your TV. And don't use a chair, bring a couch! You might as well be comfortable, right?!

If you are waiting in line overnight for tickets to go on sale, this is cool. A beach lounger is even better; don't forget the ice chest.
For waits of less than 3 hours, it might be more appropriate to bring a small folding stool and a water bottle. Where do you bank and shop, that the lines are so long? I want to avoid these places!

I think it is a great way to get your point across! Sure it is going to irritate some people, but I would laugh and commend you for "speaking" out.
People in wheelchairs do it all the time, anyways.
I think they sell little chairs in sleeves with carrying handles, so it wouldn't even be too bulky. Maybe get some little wheels for the bottom, so you wouldn't even have to get up to move, just pull yourself along with your heels.
Mind if I steal this idea?

If you have no handicaps, then this is a bad idea. Leave the chair at home.
If you don't want to wait, try picking times when the places are apt to be less crowded.

You know I was just pondering this question recently, myself.
I was wondering if I could get a concession to stand outside of big concerts and rent time on folding chairs!

Not very practical, you have to carry it and move every time the line moves. Maybe you should get a wheel chair.

I don't see any problem with it, but since these lines tend to move, you would have to pick up or scoot your chair every few seconds. I think it's easier not to take a chair.

I think it's very clever. I would suggest a bag chair that can be easily transported..
