Here's a secret: People like to talk about themselves. Usually during a conversation they aren't even listening to you; they're thining about what they're going to say next. So...ask a lot of questions. That will keep them talking and keep the focus off you.
Also, look around their home. Find something interesting to ask about, such as if you see a certificate or award, notice an interesting painting or piece of pottery, etc. You can ask about that and get them blabbing away. You can ask about their careers, their families, their cars, etc. Just stay away from religion, sex, politics, etc. -- nothing too controversial.
Good luck! You'll do fine.

You can be nice. All I expect out of the teenagers is do not walk into my home and not talk to me. That is disrespectful. Just try to be friendly. Ask them how THEY are. I know you have a voice - all you have to do is use it. I've always found out the teens that enter my home and can't look at me for some reason --- THOSE ARE THE ONLY ONES I DON'T LIKE OR TRUST and I ususally am proven right by them.

Just be friendly and talk about their home, their interests, the weather, what your plans might be.
Ask them open ended questions about themselves (instead of yes/no questions? When they respond it will give you more clues as to what else to talk about.
Don't just ramble on for the sake of it.

Well, it will have to depend on what subject they enjoy talking about. Try to gain favor by asking your bf.

just be yourself and tell them about you if they don't already know about you. tell them the truth that your not a talk ative person. if they don't like you for that that's too bad because thats you and no one can change you but you.

you ask the questions, dont wait for them to ask you for something.
say like, this is a very nice home you have, ''you designed it yourself?"
or "how was_____(yourbf) when he was little?" things like that.
