Anyone know anywhere in Ohio I can find Absynthe?

In the United States, Absinthe is not a controlled substance but its sale in bars and liquor stores is banned. Absinthe is still however legal to purchase and possess in the United States . In most of the European Union, Absinthe may be sold as long as it stays at 10mg of thujone. In Canada, Absinthe is completely legal, and on sale in some liquor stores.

It's usually easier to find something, if you spell it right. It's Absinthe! You can buy it on the internet or possibly at large liquor stores. I'm not sure of the legality of absinthe in Ohio.

Absinthe is not legally made in France. The reason they made it illegal is that it was very easy to drink and people didn't realize they were pickling their brain with 190 proof liquor. What is made today is a poor substitute. I owned a bottle of the real stuff I bought in auction in 1972. Hate to think what it would cost today.

It's illegal to sell absinthe in the US, but you can buy it online. Most sites have the stipulation that if the box is seized by customs that they will not offer any sort of compensation.

I've had it before, though, and personally, I don't think it tastes all that great. Like black licorice. Yuck.

You cannot. Europe is the only way to get true absynthe.
