Doesn't it annoy u when u go 2 a fast food resturant like Hardees, or Burger King or McDonalds and places like that and u c people ordering Big Macs or Whopers or a Five Star and extra large fries and desert but for the drink they order a diet soda???? whats the deal with all the extra if ur gonna order a diet soda????

yes! i hate it when that happens, i sometimes just want to run up to them and punch them in their faces, and then run off into the woods, wow, that reminds me of an amusing anecdote, one day i saw a small boy eating an ice cream and i ran up, shoved it in his face, and i yelled "you remember me forever!" and then i ran into the woods, (the moral of that story is that you can affect peoples lives on a daily basis)

I order diet soda because I like the taste. It's not as sweet as regular soda. I do order a Big Mac & Fries once in a while. Maybe drinking the diet soda helps explain why I only weigh 106 pounds.

I like the taste of diet better than the sugary regular soda's. Has nothing to do with the "diet" in it. I dont drink it because im on a diet.. I just like the taste better. But I also dont buy extra large anything, and If I would order a burger it would be a small one, like whopper jr or a single cheeseburger..

Maybe they are ordering for someone else too, and maybe they like the taste of diet sodas and they're not on a diet.

I think it's only a taste preference thing. If they really cared about the calories then they wouldn't be at a fast food joint in the first place, that's what I think.
Although the same can't be said for people at Starbucks who ask for a grande of double flavor shots of whatever add caramel add whip cream but make it with skim milk? Whatever...

i worked in fast food for about 10 years. I know it is so silly and we used to joke about it. we even had a customer who ordered twice like they were ordering for two people and then would go to parking lot and eat and drink the whole thing.

It doesn't make sense to me. But they may enjoy the taste of a diet soda, so I don't question it.

This drives me nuts too - it's usually the skinny little teenagers or 20somethings. Diet drinks should only be sold with salads without dressing.
