Im 511 and weigh barely 127. Im small boned and work out every 2 or 3 days. Im not overdoing it as Im careful and I work out for the small bulk that it gives me. The doctor says Im fine and if I was to gain weight I would look fat because Im small boned. Everyone says I should be a model but I want to gain at LEAST up to 135. Id like to do this with something not high in fat and NO milk products. Whatever it is I would like to do long term and have it in a form of a shake.

You need a new doctor! The recommended weight for a woman 5' 11" with a small frame is 135-148 pounds. Have you checked into Ensure? It comes in a can like the diet drinks - but I'm not positive about the milk factor. It was given to my daughter after she had been ill and had lost a lot of weight.

I agree that you should find a new doctor.

If you wish to gain weight with shakes that contain no dairy, there is a product called Nutra/Shake, details found here:
http://www.nutra-balance-online.com/nutrabalance_products_nutrashake.php

Also there are many recipes for non dairy shakes that may be helpful to you. Here is one:
The Non-Dairy Diner-Style 'Milk' Shake
Yield: 1 Serving

10 oz flavoured soy or rice milk. Look for chocolate, carob, vanilla
- and strawberry flavours
1 small frozen banana
1 scoop non-dairy frozen ice cream (look in the frozen food section of your local health food store. I've seen ones made from rice, soy and even hemp!)

Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a 16 oz glass. For a less sweet shake try using a medium frozen banana, and 1/4 to 1/2 cup firm silken tofu instead of the non-dairy ice cream.

For more recipes, simply google: non-dairy shake recipes.

Best wishes.

You can go to your local GNC they have bulk building shakes that body builders use. Although I'm not sure why you would want to. You sound like you're healthy and in good shape. Your doctor is telling you that your weight is fine, and you work out, so don't worry about what the scale says. If you like the way you look and you're healthy, forget the scale.

If you are at 135 pounds, the doctor will say you are fine too.
