as a guy i can tell you that women go for the looks all the time, not that they are being shallow its just that they need some type of physical attraction. you cant go out there and say "hey that guy has a nice personality" see what i mean looks most likely will win over personality unless you get to know the person first

The bottom line is men are attracted to women on looks and the if the personality is there it may work. But initially it is looks. For women they have to understand how the guy makes them feel. It could be looks or it could be personality.

People can't say that looks don't come into play where attraction is concerned. The first thing we notice about someone is their looks, because that's the first sense we use when meet a person.
But personality is much more important.

Me too! I love a guy with a sense of humor! It can make a guy who you thought was just average, and make him totally hot! The key is to find a combination of both, bc you do want to be attracted to the person, but a great presonality can go much further than just a pretty face, or a pretty six pack alone.

Looks are good, personality is great, but what if you get someone with good looks or a great personality, and he/she has no type of values? What if the person is nice, but can't or won't help to support a family or a relationship? Is that not a relationship/marriage waiting to fail?

Personality without a doubt.
Would you rather have a partner who is sexy but can't compose whole sentences or speak without saying "uhhhhh..." all the time?
Or would you rather have an average person who stimulates your mind & makes you laugh?
Im not saying that there doesn't have to be a certain amount of physical attraction becuz I believe there does. But...I have no tolerance for stupidity.
