raise my credit score. I have really bad credit right now and was just wondering what REALLY helps improve your score?

Secondly is applying for credit.
Learn how to work on your credit.
I've listed a "free" site that you might check out. Do some reading in the newbie forum and then in the credit forum.

Apply for those credit cards the stores offer you. I know Fashion Bug and Lane Bryant both offer one. Buy only one thing on it per month, and pay it completely off every month. For every "on time" payment you make, you raise your score a few points. And even of you have HORRIBLE credit, these stores will generally approve you anyways. They make their money off of late fees, so pay it ALL OFF EVERY MONTH. Hope this helps.

Paying all your bills in full every month on time is extremely important.
Cut up all but one credit card and decrease impulsive spending. If you are having trouble with paying all your bills talk to all of your creditors and see if they can help you out.

Get a hight interest credit card and buy things with it that you can immediately pay off. Don't ruin your credit any further.

Take out loans and pay them back on time (credit card works).

pay all bills on time is the #1 thing
don't charge up to your limit is #2
increase your income would also help.

pay your bills on time.. put more on your debt than just the minimum payment
