I'm going to be in a pageant-like beauty contest at my school, and I'm wearing a pretty formal dress. I have brown, straight hair that's about 4 inches above my elbow and I don't know what to do with it. What will stand out to the judges?? Suggestions, please! Especially if you've been in a beauty pageant before and know what's typical in such things. ; )

You should definitly leave it down (at least a little) becauses hair that long will leave a good impression.

Check out Paris Hilton's hairstyle from her appearance on David Letterman.

I also have long hair, and wore my hair like this for my wedding with a tiara.

The typical id piled on top of your head in curls, or some type of curls. But if your hair is long, waring it long with a few curls is classic. But if you wanna stand out maybe some sort of braid, with of course a few curls ( it's the curls man judges luv it!). I hope that helped. Good Luck honey!!! ;)
