Could prophet Muhammad go 1 Mile away from the Sun?

Question

I read a prophetical statement told by prophet Muhammad and related by Muslim (No. 5108 in the Arabic edition of Sahih Muslim) that tells that prophet Muhammad says that on Judgement Day the sun will get too close to earth until it becomes only a Mile away from the earth and hence people will SWEAT. Some people will sweat up to their feet while others will seat up to their noses.

This statement (Hadith) does not make much sense to me because I thought that is someone gets a Mile away from the sun he will have been burned long time ago, not just "sweating". Does anyone know if it is possible to get a Mile away from the sun?

Your taking the translation too literal. This just means that the sun will come to us and make us sweat profusely.

ummmm. ive never heard of that. and also, why would the Muslims use the U.S. measuring system with the "Mile." also, to answer your question, NO, there is no way to get one mile away from the sun in just regular clothes and not burn up.
