Unfortunately, it's human nature to disagree. I dream of a day when we can agree to disagree, and accept each others beliefs as different but equally valid paths to the same goal -- a better, more complete existance. And once you are in that place, you are usually far more capable of helping others.

We can't expect anyone else to change. All you can do is make your own way and be a good example by how you live your life.

Adding fuel to the fire only makes it burn hotter.

I am focused on these things and I do not argue about who is wrong or right. I do believe we can do some things but through the Savior I believe all things can be done to eliminate these problems. Specifically, I feed the poor, I clothe the naked, I support gov't and military leadership of this country (USA) and I recycle and don't use my vehicle often. Don't assume others are not doing these things as well, no matter what religion they are. If you think this is silly bickering don't use the site, after all it is for spirituality and religion which should unite.

That's it my bright friend - all this is caused by the conflict between God and Satan. We should endeavour to be on the right side. All that you mentioned is caused by sin and understanding thus we realize that we cannot fix it only God can no matter how we try some will not because of sin and selfishness.

All humanity is now involved in a great controversy between Christ and Satan regarding the character of God, His law, and His sovereignty over the universe. This conflict originated in heaven when a created being, endowed with freedom of choice, in self-exaltation became Satan, God's adversary, and led into rebellion a portion of the angels. He introduced the spirit of rebellion into this world when he led Adam and Eve into sin. This human sin resulted in the distortion of the image of God in humanity, the disordering of the created world, and its eventual devastation at the time of the worldwide flood. Observed by the whole creation, this world became the arena of the universal conflict, out of which the God of love will ultimately be vindicated. To assist His people in this controversy, Christ sends the Holy Spirit and the loyal angels to guide, protect, and sustain them in the way of salvation. (Rev. 12:4-9; Isa. 14:12-14; Eze. 28:12-18; Gen. 3; Rom. 1:19-32; 5:12-21; 8:19-22; Gen. 6-8; 2 Peter 3:6; 1 Cor. 4:9; Heb. 1:14.)

Stop swimmin' at the bottom of the bong. Burn the freakin' Birkenstocks. Put down the daisies. Wake up and smell the f'kin' coffee, maaaan!!!

Religious wars have been plaguing mankind for century after century. Where've you been?

Oh, and the "real problems" you listed, while not invalid, are apparently passing fads.

So, instead of bitchin' about it on Answers, get up off your @ss, shut down your computer and go collect trash off the side of the highway, or protest something - whatever the hot protest topic is right now... My point is, stop whining and do something about it!!!

Actually, religion is much more important than any of the problems that you mention. The reason being that religion carries eternal consequences, wherease the problems you mention only effect the short period of time we will spend in this life.

I'd leave the politics to the political section but I would enjoy learning about other peoples religions and the ways they enhance their spiritual connections.

I posted a very similar comment on this very issue and it was overlooked. When is all this fighting about everything going to stop so we can focus on the issues at hand?

Religion keeps us from uniting, so we can get together when it is gone. But is brings too much money and power for the churches to give up.
