I have naturally straight hair that doesn't keep curls no matter what I use. I also don't like using a whole lot of hair spray. Any suggestions?

Try electric curlers. Just heat them up for 30 minutes and wear them for 30 minutes. They work great in my hair, and my hair stays curled all day WITHOUT any hairspray.

Also, maybe if you are looking for a new look, you might want to cut your hair a little bit becuause short hair curls better then really long hair.

If you don't feel like chopping your hair off, you could be hair gel or really good hairspray that holds your hair really good. (Found at Target, Walmart, Rite Aid, or any other beauty product store.)

If none of that works, you can always get a perm.

Or, if none of that sounds good, you can be thankful for having natural straight hair (I know tons of girls who have natrual curly hair and would DIE for straight hair!) and just leave it the way it is, becuase I bet its gorgeous!

Good Luck and I hope it works out!

Get L.A. Looks Curl Look gel from CVS. Put that on your towel-dried hair and let it air dry.

I have naturally curly hair myself, but give it a try and see if it works. It says on the bottle that it can make straight hair curly. It's like, $3, so it's not a waste if it doesn't really work. It also helps with the frizz that comes from curls sometimes. You can also try mousse, but that's really just for making your hair kind of wavy, not full-on curly.

My sister has straight hair and curls hers by using a curling iron. She only does it a little bit at a time (only a small lock of hair about 1/2 inch wide) and holds it in the curler for 30 or 40 seconds then sprays her hair with a really strong hairspray. It holds for a couple hours, but makes her hair really stiff and hard. That's also not good for your hair at all because it litterally just fries it. Use some kind of cream (like Frizz-Eaze) first to offer a little bit of protection.

Good luck!!

Wait a couple of days after washing to curl your hair, NEVER curl right after washing. And try this product called DIRT by Jonathan, it add texture to hair and is great for styling.

A good styling mousse should help. There are some on the market specifically to help long hair stay curly. Maybe next time you're at your hairdressers, ask her/his advice on which brand she/he would recommend.
