I'm not a guy, but I feel the same way as you. I am currently 19 years old & I have been with my boyfriend since I was 17 & we are both virgins. Waiting wasn't important to him because he didn't see it as a big deal. But it was something I wanted....and he totally respected that because he cared about my feelings. Today we are happily together & we are still waiting. If a guy really likes you & respects you then he'll wait until you're ready. If he pressures you & picks on you then maybe you shouldn't be with him.

Wait, there are females that are still virgins in 2006? If there are still 18-21 year old virgins then, yes I would wait, if that girl is truly special enough for me to consider marrying her. But, let me tell you, that she would have to be a GEM!

Frankly, I'd think she was crazy, and I'd leave, because I don't want to be married to a crazy woman. Why on earth would any sane person want to make a decision as big as marriage without seeing if you're sexually compatible or not? That's like buying a million dollar house you've never even seen and planning to spend the rest of your life living in it.
And if it matters to you, I'm in my 40's, very happily married to a woman who both slept and lived with me before we were married.

I respected my gf decision then, until it eventually changed, what I had learned was once you engage sexually that relationship becomes focus on that...where we can go...how we can have more time...etc...instead of future issues and plans...but back in my teens I had gf that sex was talked about and understood that it wasn't going to happen unless they were married.

33.
If I loved her and wanted to marry her, I'd wait. If I didn't want to marry her - I'd hate to say I'd dump her over that, but the relationship probably wouldn't last very long.

No. If we're not compatible across the board, then it's simply not going to work. Finding out AFTER you marry; is STUPID!
