That's only true about the penny. The penny is pointless, most people don't even think of it as real money. And now, on top of everything else, it costs more than a penny to make it.

It's a losing proposition all the way around. Get rid of it.

I think, it would be much better, to return the US economy to a position, where that Penny was actually worth something!!!

There was an interesting idea, though, to put "Ronny Ray-Gun"'s picture on a coin; well, put it on a Penny and call it a NeoCON Dollar!!!

There once was a slogan, which stated that, "What this country needs is a good Five Cent cigar." ~ To paraphrase that: "What this country needs is a good Five Cent Nickle!!!"

I just think its time to get rid of money. Everything should be done with plastic (not credit just debit cards)

While I almost never have cash, I think it would be weird not to have coins. What would we do with our piggy banks??

and if they got rid of them, wouldn't we be paying more? every retailer would be rounding up. i sure bet they wouldn't round down to lose money.
