Its called 'stool transit time' and the answer depends on whether you eat properly or not. About 36 hours is ok.

Well...on Saturday I had made a cake for my friend and it had black icing on it. We ate this on Saturday night, and this morning (Monday) I noticed the black dye had "exited". Gross but you asked! This is about a day and a half. This probably depends person to person, and the amount of fiber you eat (the more you eat, the faster the food passes through your bowel)

anywhere between 24 and 72 hours, depending on how much and what you ate. Proteins take longer to digest than carbs, and whole grains take longer to be digested and absorbed than just regular grain. But everything comes out within 72 hours. Even gum.

nicely only finished some yummy rum cake a neighbor presented over. This am some sticky pecan cinnamon buns. The mouse is all sticky. I devour each component on the keyboard . Its extra proper then eating on my own. obviously alot of crumbs interior the keyboard/

i think on average its about 26 hours for it to go in and then eventually come it - really depends on a person's metabolism because of the speed in which the food breaks down
