Should we put in a 300 yard wide cannel from south Texas to south California ? Kind of like the Panama cannel but we could call it the border cannel ? Since the fencing system is a joke. What do you think ?

Did you know that half the illegal immigrants arrive by airplane? They are people who come in with a valid tourist visa and just overstay their visa? So building fences or canals is not going to prevent people staying in this country illegally.
Also did you know that the border fence has been fairly effective in deterring people from crossing the fenced portions of the border? What the fences have accomplished is to move the border crossers to the desert where many of them die after they cross the border.
Also I am sure you are aware that there is no fence on the border with Canada. But we don't worry about that, which might give some clues to real solutions to the perceived problems of illegal immigration.
Also a practical problem with your canal solution: where does the water come from to fill the canal. This part of the country is already short of water.

I think the government should just go after the businesses that hire illegal workers (like the they are supposed to do) and the problem will fix itself. I doubt this will happen as, the businesses that profit from hiring illegals also contribute heavily to both parties.

No housing for all illegal.
No employment. American dont need them only them need us so much.
