So many people are idiotic of coarse you can bake bacon and cook cookies. baking bacon is done in restaurants and homes all over the world. Bacon does not splatter in the oven and taste just as good as frying it in all that grease. You can also cook cookies, guess none of you watch big brother?? Its not idiotic, try it you may really like it!!

I fry bacon, but because of new recipe's and other types of food products, they apply the term "cook" bacon.
I am truly not being sarcastic when I say I have baked bacon with beans before.

Yes a nice smoked bacon joint rubbed in olive oil then coated finely with finely chopped garlic and shallots, and chopped fresh hyssop then pacelled in to a short crust pastry ans baked in the oven on 200 C until nicely golden brown serve with parsley mashed potatoes, and veg of your choice ( at the appropriate time of the year broard bean and sprouting boccoli would be good. Possibly add a white savory sauce.
For cookies just cook in the oven.

Yes, you can bake bacon in an oven... but broiling it is better. You can try frying cookies in a frying pan as well. It's just that frying bacon works best for most people and baking cookies works best as well.

Probably because they taste better that way.
Bacon can be cooked in any manner of ways - baked, fried, boiled, grilled, roasted or even microwaved.
I have never had fried or roasted or grilled or boiled cookies -I think they then become something else -like dumplings, or pancakes.
Perhaps I should try them - maybe invent the world's first "boiled cookie" - would it make me a fortune or just make a mess of my pans?
