Would switching off the lights each time you leave the tiolet save a lot of energy ? Just say another person uses it within each 10 minutes. Wouldnt the initial kick of energy will be higher than just leaving the lights on for the next 15 minute ?

It depends on the type of bulb. WIth Incandescent bulbs (regular bulb-shaped ones that screw in) it's better to just turn them off whenever you're not using them. With flourescents, it takes more power to get them started, so if you're going to be back in ten minutes or less, leave it on, otherwise, go ahead and turn it off.

you're logic doesnt make sense. 10 minutes between each use and leaving it on for 15 minutes? and yes you do save energy. energy used is constant and there's no initial kick.
