Having served in the military, with 2 years fighting in iraq and going through some hardships. Coming back to the US and seeing how there are some ignorant people who attack the soldiers instead of the real issue at hand. Having said that, i thank all Veterans of this country past and present, special thanks to Vietnam Vets who seemed to go through a harder time dealing with selfish Americans. Thank You. Anyone with me?

The best way we can support our troops is to END THE WAR IN IRAQ. I don't blame the soldiers, just U.S. imperialism for stupid wars like Vietnam.

People, it's time you all WOKE UP and realized that this country's irresponsible foreign policy is why Americans are hated all over the world. Not just by Arabs, but by Europeans as well.

I am a Scotsman, and would gladly kick foreign *** to help my fellow Irish/Scots/Americans. But do you know what you are fighting for? Cheaper Oil and french fries? I think not, but wish it so. The British see things from a different perspective... propaganda and TV inflict the exact forces of the present powers that be. And if anyone gets in the way of an American getting free french fries and coke then lets start a war.
The Scots take a step back and bide their time, oh I just got an email from the FBI telling me to shut-the-f***-up or I'll lose my crappy job helping old welsh-f*ckheads how to operate their instruments of deception (TELE----VISION).

Being a Navy Vet, with 20% disability (due to having 3 seizures while in the service), yes I totally agree with you. I come from a military background. My grandfather (my Mom's dad) was in the Army for 4 years, 1 uncle retired from the Army back around 1996, my other unle was a jarhead/Marine (Muscles Are Required, Intelligence Not Expected/My A$$ Rides In Navy Equipment) for awhile, my Dad was in the Navy, my stepdad (soon to be not related to my fam. anymore) did 12.5 yrs in the Navy, and I was almost in for 4 yrs when I got out on a Medical/Honorable Discharge from the Navy (Never Again Volunteer Yourself)...Fortunately for me, I never had to go to war. When I got stationed on my first ship, it had just come back from the persian gulf, whatever war it was in 1992/93.

yes do thank the vietnam veterans. my father went faught in that war. also i am a military wife myself. my husband served two times in iraq ( ramadi and fallujah ) and is going back for the third time in late august. i am so proud of him as well as others who have protected our land. it is funny how people who never served always have something negative to say about it instead of saying thank you. until they are in a soldiers shoes they will never get it. i see it so much very ungrateful americans. people are quick to judge. my husband would rather not go again but you will never never hear him complain about going and leaving me and our children. what about the children, who dont have there daddies to tuck them in at night? they are heroes too!! thank you for your service and i do support my husband as well as every american soldier who served!! god bless!!!!!!!

Thankyou for that (usmc-nam) and thankyou so much for your service. Welcome Home!

UserJoe9 You don't know anything about vietnam. You think you know something about American imperialism...Yeah..we were so imperialistic we weren't even allowed to fly an American flag over our camps because we didn't want to offend the vietnamese. Tell me how many countries the U.S. has taken over and annexed in your lifetime...that's what imperialism is. Get an education and quit throwing words around without knowing the meaning.

Put my husband and me on the list. We have a lighted flag in our window, return stickers with a flag background, postage stamps with our flag -- my husband is a WWII veteran. I remember walking to the store with my Mom and her book of ration stamps. My Dad gave up his car and joined a car pool. In my opinion, we are a nation of spoiled brats who have no clue what is going on. I am humble to have been born in the USA, having done nothing to deserve it, and I feel guilty that we are not being asked to make sacrifices in some way that will benefit our servicemen and women.

100% agree. It seems the soldiers always end up being the scapegoats for the ignorant Americans anger. Good luck to you.

Of course! They are as much the victims as those who died on both sides in Vietnam. At least, like it or not, they had the courage to put their lives in jeopardy, mistakenly or not for the country
