I can be at times! Where I can be in and out of a store in 15 minutes, my wife seems to have to look over everything they have, and want to hang on for an hour or better. It all depends upon what I am shopping for, and who I am with. I don't mind just walking around Walmat talking to someone for an hour or so, but, unless I am really shopping for something, that gets old, and it can be mentally draining.
I think the thing that we guys hate the most is when women want to try on about five or six different dresses, and want us to wait to get our opinion on each one. If we say it looks ugly, and you like it, you'll just say, "Well, you're a guy, what do you know?" and buy it anyway. Just be honest girls. Its one of your little control tactics you like to use for your power trip, because you know we guys would whether be over in the hardware or sporting goods department.

I don't like shopping. The malls are too huge and the stores are so jammed with ugly clothes. I hate it when the racks are overstocked. The clothes are so jammed in and I end up knocking them off the racks trying to dig out my size (which is always sold out). I hate those piles of shirts all folded. I flip though those trying to find an S or an M but discover only XS, L and XL. So I leave the disshelved pile there for some surly shopgal to refold.

The way I look at it is it's 50/50 and you got to think of the others needs, and wants.

because when it comes to shopping, guys and girls usually have a different style.
men (for the most part) know what they want/need and go to (normally) one store, go to the section of the store where that item is, try it on, and then proceed to buy it. then they leave the store and go elsewhere. where they go after wards doesn't matter, they have bought what they wanted/needed and the shopping trip is over.
women (for the most part) contemplate things they would like to wear. they go to one store and try on not only what they went there for, but also for anything else that strikes their fancy. now, they might not even consider buying it AT THAT TIME and they will STILL try it on (along with many other outfits and accessories) and maybe (i say maybe because i've been shopping with girls that went into a store to buy a blouse... spent 1 hour, 1 FRIGGIN HOUR, trying on almost everything in the store... and then we walked out with nothing... just so she could go to ANOTHER store and do the whole thing all over again) buy it.
now i'm not saying it's wrong to try different clothes... i mean if you see something that strikes your fancy and you are going to buy it... then go for it. i myself will go into a store to buy a shirt, and on my way to the shirt section, i might see some pants i might want to buy. i'll pick them up and then keep going to the shirt section. try them on and then decide whether to buy them or not. and yes, if i don't find what i'm looking for in that store, i will go to another store and try to find what i'm looking for there...
but to say (as a girl) i'm going to buy a blouse... and then going into a store and then proceeding to search (and in some times try on) every item in the store?!?!?! i mean heck, women sometimes even move in a grid like pattern so they won't miss ANYTHING in the store.
the longest (and i mean longest) shopping trip i've been on when i was with a guy friend was 3 hours... and that was only because we were looking for a very specific item and had to go to multiple stores until we finally found it.
the normal (yes... i said and meant normal) shopping trip for a girl, lasts AT LEAST 3 hrs... the longest trip i've had with a female friend lasted 3 DAYS!!! in 12hr increments!!!
now... you may not be that bad... but in all likely hood, you are probably also going to use the car. your shopping trip might take a long time, or might be at a bad time... and it will only serve to bore the living daylights out of any guy alive.
now you can remedy this in various ways... my personal favorites are these two
1) give me a portable game and let me sit outside the store. this way i can entertain myself by playing my gba/psp and not have to wonder what is a safe place to look when you happen to wander into the womens underware section.
2) for having spent so much time bored out of my mind (while more than likely having to hold your very feminine and very obvious purse you horrible woman you) we should be rewarded... with a trip to victoria secrets or the bikini section where you will give us a nice little modeling show (trust me... it will make a guy who is in a pissed off mood go from, "*grumble grumble mutter mutter* why does she take me to these things, she knows i hate coming in here, damn these bags are heavy, why do i have to hold so many bags, doesn't she have enough clothes/shoes" to "woot! bikini's/lingerie!"
now these may sound bad... but admit it ladies... unless you are one of those rare girls who actually shops like a guy, when you say, "i only wanted to shop at a store for like ONE minute" you meant "i want to trick you into thinking i'm going to be in the store for one minute but what i really meant was i wanted to shop for 3-5hrs... so strap in and bust out the gba (game boy advance) because you're going to be here a while"
