i screwed up a little bit with grades and i have to write an apology letter to the dean explaining what happened and all that jazz. should i use the full block format or modified block? should it be short or long? please help

You want to apologize to your college? For what? For bad grades? Not showing up? Why?

Do you mean an ADMISSIONS letter?

It is acceptable to write a personal letter to the dean if you have done something that reflected badly on your grades. Going to college is a privilege, not a right.

If you write a sincere, detailed letter of explanation with a simple apology and a promise to try harder, it would be beneficial to you, and probably, very appreciated by the dean.

What apologize to them they should apologize to you. For sending you out in the world after charging all the money for school so you could make $8,00 an hour HeII they should be the ones apologizing NOT YOU!!!!Damn schools anyway!
