If we are to assume that Jesus was a normal man/god…
Then we would have to assume at one point he would lust after a girl, use his healing hands on himself when no one was looking (to heal himself of course!) maybe play a few pranks turn wine into vinegar… the sort of thing normal kids do and think about all the time (coupled with godlike powers) so given that he grows up working as a carpenter and then is called up for Dad’s duty, do you think it is possible that he had/did thoughts and actions that are inherent to children of that time?

you crack me up. Jesus was human just like you and me. But there is not one recorded instance where He played a joke on anyone or sinned in any way. He was His Father's child. So perhaps even though He was tempted He found a way to resist. The Bible says that God will not allow us to be tempted beyone our strength. And if we are tempted God will give us a way out.

Jesus did NOT die for HIS OWN SINS. That would not make His gift acceptable to God.

Sometimes all you have to do is occupy your mind with something else to avoid sin. Don't get so theological that you think God is playing mind games. He doesn't. Because He doesn't have to.

Jesus was not a normal child, he is the Son of God. The ministry of Jesus (turning water into wine, healing illnesses, raising the dead) did not begin until after he was baptized Matthew 4:17. The Bible tells us that Jesus was perfect, he didn't sin 1Peter 1:19. Jesus died for the sins of man. Our sin separates us from God (Jeremiah 17:9, Romans 3:23), Jesus paid the debt (death) for that sin (1 Peter 2:24; 3; 18, John 3:16) by giving his life on the cross. Jesus said," I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" John 14:6.

A sacrificial offering is an atonement on behalf of the ones offering the sacrifice. Therefore Jesus could not offer himself as a sacrifice for himself. He would have 2 offer a separate sacrifice. He may have done this but it may not have been recorded, or as he is on first name terms withThe Father he may give atonement in a different manner that is between he & his father. After all there are all Gods & their ways are not governed by humans. But actually I believe that Jesus was without sin as only a pure offering can be sacrificed. That is why Jesus is likened 2 a lamb. Finally, like I always say, when u are a God u make the rules & answers 2 noone. So focus on your sins & be thankful that u have a way out instead of focussing on the sins of a God who u cannot judge.

He was a normal man but he was also God. He was the promised spotless lamb - without sin - that should die in place of sinners that is why a sinner could not die for us.

God the eternal Son became incarnate in Jesus Christ. Through Him all things were created, the character of God is revealed, the salvation of humanity is accomplished, and the world is judged. Forever truly God, He became also truly man, Jesus the Christ. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived and experienced temptation as a human being, but perfectly exemplified the righteousness and love of God. By His miracles He manifested God's power and was attested as God's promised Messiah. He suffered and died voluntarily on the cross for our sins and in our place, was raised from the dead, and ascended to minister in the heavenly sanctuary in our behalf. He will come again in glory for the final deliverance of His people and the restoration of all things. (John 1:1-3, 14; Col. 1:15-19; John 10:30; 14:9; Rom. 6:23; 2 Cor. 5:17-19; John 5:22; Luke 1:35; Phil. 2:5-11; Heb. 2:9-18; 1 Cor. 15:3, 4; Heb. 8:1, 2; John 14:1-3.)

If Jesus had any sins he would not have been the Unblemished, Perfect sacrifice..so the answer is NO.
Though I do not think "pranks" are sins. Look at the 10 Commandments for sins.
As far as thoughts & actions he was 100% human, that was the point.

There is a difference between playing pranks and sinning. Somehow, I think that even though Jesus was still human, he played pranks.

To answer your questions however, Jesus could not have died for his sins. If he did, that would defeat the purpose of him dying on the cross and saving humanity. if he had sinned, it would be a normal crucifixion and the Christian faith would be completely worthless. But it was because he was without sin, we are able to be saved.

Do not assume Jesus was a normal man.
He was without sin. Hebrews 4:15
John 18:37 makes clear Jesus knew the reason he came to earth.
Please do not corrupt the beautiful way of Jesus with your small minded immaturity.

Jesus had no sins of His own to die for! If He did, he wouldn't have qualified to die for ours. The Virgin Birth gave Him a "free pass" if you will, from original sin because he was miraculously born from the womb of a virgin who had not known a man. Therefore, since the Old Testament qualifications of a sacrifice having to be without "spot, blemish, or any such thing" still had to be met, it became necessary for Christ to be born in a manner that would allow His flesh to escape the sin-curse of man. Ergo, the Virgin Birth! Though Mary was mortal and born to original sin, her own sins were covered by Old Testament covenant procedures and her personal obediance of God's Word concerning the "keeping of herself" until marriage.

Well, there will be many schools of thoughts which will rebuke what i say here

Whether be it Man or God, they are all at mercy of their doing of the past and present, he was born because of this past deeds and died because of his past and present deeds, and transition into another life - as man or as a god

if he did good deeds then he would be reaping good results and if they were bad then he would reap its bad result and no one is spared from this simple fact
let it be God or Man, everyone has to face the consequences of their actions - good & bad.

Pl note, lusting for a women is not sin, losing ones moral and dignity because of the lust is a sin.

Jesus was a great man/god who forgave those who hated and ill-willed againt him, that is a great quality in someone & this is something which brings me to respect him greatly - and strive bring in quality of tolerance and fogiveness in myself

Jesus was just a man that believed in God. He was sent from God like all of us. We don't have as much faith as Jesus because we are not willing to die for our faith. Maybe cause Jesus was a little insane or something. The bible is bogus. People are dumb and believe what is written in it, because it is called the bible. Only the wise realize that spirituality has nothing to do with religion. God is everywhere, it's in you and me. That's what God made man in his own image means. All of life is heaven, all of life is hell also.

I'm not sure if I answered your question :o)
