Lots of them... 1) Add "0" to your current weight. That's how many total calories you can have a day and not gain weight. If you cut 500 calories from that total, you will lose 1 lb a week. 2) 1 lb of fat = 3500 calories. 3) Eat sweets/carbs, etc in the morning when your metabolism is at its highest.4) Don't skip breakfast. 5)If you eat an egg each morning, it helps you lose weight. 6) Eat what you want, when you want -- but you must be HUNGRY and you must watch total calories. 7) Decide how many calories you will allot to "snacks" a day. (i.e. 100, 200, etc) Fill a bowl with them and when they're gone, you're done. 8) Get a lot of sleep. More than you'd typically think you need. 9) Exercise first thing in the morning and again (even if it's just a walk around the block) right after work. Supper can wait. 10) Get into a routine. 11) Large goals are met by breaking them into "mini" goals! 12) If you love to chew, suck on sugar free mints or chew sugar free gum. 13) You can use a towel as an 'ab' machine. Lay on it, grab the corners behind your ears with each hand and the towel will support your head, neck and upper back. 14) YOU control everything. Avoid any diet or eating program that is too complicated, too boring or too expensive. 15) Losing weight is a gift to yourself. Go see a counselor if anyone is trying to sabatoge you, if you can't cope with stress or frustration with prayer, meditation and/or exercise.

Ummm, I probably know more, but you can email if you want them. Good luck!

I excersied thats your number one focus, cardio, run if you can, 1 mile, walk 2 miles sit ups and all that other stuff dont work, drink plenty of water, no sodas, no caffine of any kind that makes you have no energy, if you want, those energy drinks really work, eat some protien before you work out. all im trying to say is work out everday drink plenty of water, protien bars, eat healthy, fruits, veggies, dont put a whole lot on your plate. in the end you will look great and give it some time dont give up after a month keep going. I LOST 70 POUNDS.

The basis of weight loss, is burning more than you consume. With that in mind, you'll want to develop a healthy nutrition and exercise regimen.

A good start in the morning, are some egg whites w/multigrain toast and a cup of OJ. You'll want to increase your proteins, ie...chicken, lean beef, eggs and scale back the carbs a little. Try a high protein meal in the late evening, as that keeps your metab spiked.

As always, exercise here is key as well. Create a balanced routine, w/regular form of cardio and some form of resistance training. Another key to weight loss that not many people realize, is to stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water.

- keep to 1000 or 1200 calories a day and never more than that.
- Walk 1 hour moderately.
- Pamper urself with sweet stuff once in 2 weeks, but dont go beyond the calorie limit anyway.
- Dont overdo carbs or dont avoid carbs either. Do everything in moderation.

Good luck.

1. Eat fattening food early in the day, when you have all day to burn it off.
2. Eat your last meal as early as possible.
3. Don't drink diet sodas.
4. Drink lots of water.
5. Eat the fattiest part of any meal first. You'll feel full sooner that way.

The following healthy living recommendations will help you if you’re trying to lose weight, tone up your muscles, have aspirations of building lean muscle mass, are attempting to get a wash board stomach, or just want to feel better:

*1) Burn more calories then you're consuming everyday and measure your results using the following formula: Calories Consumed minus Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) minus Physical Activity minus the Thermic Effect of Food (TEF). A website that explains this formula in more detail and will help you determine how many calories you need to reach or maintain a certain weight is at http://www.primusweb.com/fitnesspartner/library/weight/calsburned.htm

Get a diet and fitness calculator that you can put on your computer or cell phone. This will allow you to easily calculate the above formula, set goals, log your daily calorie consumption, and register your physical activities.

Set realistic goals for your ideal body weight. Here are two websites that will calculate a suggested body weight:
Adults: http://www.halls.md/ideal-weight/body.htm
Teens/Children: http://www.kidshealth.org/kid/exercise/weight/bmi.html

It is difficult and unhealthy to lose more than one or two pounds per week. There are 3,500 calories in a pound. If you eat 500 fewer calories per day for a week you will lose one pound. If you burn through exercise 500 more calories per day for a week you will lose one pound.

*2) Eat natural and organic foods found on earth versus something created by a corporation to make money. Eat meals in small portions throughout the day and take a good multi-vitamin supplement.

Avoid “High Glycemic Load Carbs” (sugar, pastries, desserts, refined starches such as breads, pasta, refined grains like white rice; high starch vegetables such as potatoes) and drink lots of water. Read this article for more information on high GL Carbs:
http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/nutritionsource/carbohydrates.html

Do not try fad diets or diet pills. Here is an excellent food pyramid that anyone can follow: http://www.rayandterry.com/html/images/PyramidLRG.gif?osCsid=26a424be471d1337e7c2f105d5c64d9d

*3) Exercise on most days by doing cardiovascular training and/or resistance training activities.

Read a book or find a certified trainer to make sure your doing all resistance training exercises correctly. A great book to buy that teaches you the resistance training basics is “Weight Training for Dummies”. A superb magazine to buy with resistance training routines that will not get you bored is "Muscle and Fitness". Signup for the free newsletter. An excellent free online resource is at http://www.exrx.net/

A good book to buy that teaches you the cardiovascular training basics is “Fitness for Dummies”.

*4) Get plenty of sleep. Sleep experts say most adults need between seven and nine hours of sleep each night for optimum performance, health, and safety.

*5) Educate yourself continually on health issues and make a life long commitment to good health. A great free publication is “Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2005”. A superb book to read is “You The Owner’s Manual”. An excellent periodic publication is the “Nutrition Action Health Letter”. A reputable test you can take to measure your biological age is at http://realage.com

Look at all areas where you can enhance your health. For example, make improvements in the quality of the air you breathe. Review outdoor air quality forecasts where you live and get an indoor air purifier. Send me an email or yahoo instant message to "gainbetterhealth" if you want an indoor air purifier recommendation and if you have any questions.
