Listen to the voice of Jesus Christ, your Redeemer, the Great I Am, whose arm of mercy hath atoned for your sins; Who will gather his people even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, even as many as will hearken to my voice and humble themselves before me, and call upon me in mighty prayer. Behold , verily, verily, I say unto you, that at this time your sins are forgiven you, therefore ye receive these things; but remember to sin no more, lest perils shall come upon you. Verily, I say unto you that ye are chosen out of the world to declare my gospel with the sound of rejoicing, as with the voice of a trump. Lift up your hearts and be glad, for I am in your midst, and am your advocate with the Father; and it is his good will to give you the kingdom. And, as it is written--Whatsoever ye shall ask in faith, being united in prayer according to my command, ye shall receive.

And ye are called to bring to pass the gathering of mine elect; for mine elect hear my voice and harden not heir hearts;

Wherefore the decree hath gone forth from the Father that they shall be gathered in unto one place upon the face this land, to prepare their hearts and be prepared in all things against the day when tribulation and desolation are sent forth upon the wicked.

For the hour is nigh and the day soon at hand when the earth is ripe; and all the proud and they that do wickedly shall be as stubble; and I will burn them up, saith the Lord of Hosts, that wickedness shall not be upon the earth;

For the hour is nigh, and that which was spooken by mine apostles must be fulfilled; for as they spoke so shall it come to pass;

For I will reveal myself from heaven with power and great glory, with all the hosts thereof, and dwell in righteousness with men on earth a thousand years, and the wicked shall not stand.

And again, verily, verily, I say unto you, and it hath gone forth in a firm decree, by the will of the Father, that mine apostles, the Twelve which were with me in my ministry at Jerusalem, shall stand at my right hand at the day of my coming in a pillar of fire, being clotherd with robes of righteousness, with crowns upon their heads, in glory even as I am, to judge the whole house of Israel, even as many as have loved me and kept my commandments, and none else.

For a trump shall sound both long and loud, even as upon Mount Sinai, and all the earth shall quake, even the dead which died in me, to receive a crown of righteousness, and to be clothed upon, even as I am, to be with me, that we may be one.

But, behold, I say unto you that before this great day shall come the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall be turned into blood, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and there shall be greater signs in heaven above and in the earth beneath;

And there shall be weeping and wailing among the hosts of men;

Athere shall be a great hailstorm sent forth to destroy the crops of the earth.

And it shall come to pass because of the wickedness of the world, that I will take vengeance upon the wicked, for they will not repent; for the cup of mine indignation is full; for behold, my blood shall not cleanse them if they hear me not.

Wherefore, I the Lord God will send forth flies upon the face of the earth, which shall take hold of the inhabitants thereof, and shall eat their flesh, and shall cause maggots to come in upon them;

And their tongues shall be stayed that they shall not utter against me; and their flesh shall fall from off their bones, and their eyes form their sockets;

And it shall come to pass that the beasts of the forest and the fowls of the air shall devour them up.

And the great and abominable church, which is the whore of all the earth, shall be cast down by devouring fire, according as it is spoken by the mouth of Ezekiel the prophet, who spoke of these things, which have not come to pass but surely must, as I live, for abominations shall not reign.

And again, verily, verily, I say unto you that when the thousand years are ended, and men again begin to deny their God, then will I spare the earth but for a little season;

And the end shall come, and the heaven and the earth shall be consumed and pass away, and there shall be a new heaven and a new earth.

For all old things shall pass away, and all things shall become new, even the heaven and the earth, and all the fulness thereof, both men and beasts, the fowls of the air, and the fishes of the sea;

And not one hair, neither mote, shall be lost, for it is the workmanship of mine hand.

But, behold, verily I say unto you, before the earth shall pass away, Michael, mine archangel, shall sound his trump, and then shall all the dead awake, for their graves shall be opened, and they shall come forth-- yea, even all.

And the righteous shall be gathered on my right hand unto eternal life; and the wicked on my left hand will I be ashamed to own before the Father;

Wherefore I will say unto them -- Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.

not everything is known, only that He will return and set up a kingdom on earth for 1000 years. The bible is not entirely clear on the rapture. There is talk of taking the believers out of the earth miraculously and it appears this is before the 7 year tribulation period, but also there are believers during the tribulation period that are killed and persecuted. The important thing is to be in right standing with God i think. Jesus' own description of the event is a warning to not be decieved because there will come an imposter(s) first but that when He comes that everyone will definitely know its Him and that Hes here no matter where you are ..you wont have to travel to go see Him.. So its entirely possible believers that are ready could be snatched out early to spare them the anguish of the tribulation and also, it could be, more come to be believers after that and during the tribulation but the definite event is that the "big" final return to end it all He will show up in the middle of a major war and wipe out the armies arrayed against Israel.

To get a good understanding of the second coming of Christ one must understand that Christ second coming or prescence is now, some are looking for Christ in the flesh or coming on a cloud but read these scriptures and may be you will understand if not e-mail me and I can give you more information. Read Matthew 24:1-24. In these scriptures you will read how the disciples asked Jesus what would be the sign of his prescence and of the conclusion of this system of things. He said you would hear reports of wars, earthquakes in one place after another, food shortages although these things occured in the past we see these things on a grander scale do we not. Do not be misled the world is passing away and so is it's desires but he that does the will of God will remain forever. On a paradise earth. Not in Heaven as many think.

Nowhere does the Bible indicate that Christ will return physically.
Matthew 25:3132 states:
“When the Son of Man (Jesus) comes in his glory, escorted by all the angels, then he will take his seat on his throne....”
In the original Greek, the word 'paraousia' was used to indicate "comes in his glory."
The French Catholic Dictionnarie de la Bible states:
“Parousia means 'presence'
So what is often called Christ’s return really refers to the time when, from his highly exalted position in heaven, he becomes actively present with regard to earth’s affairs.

That Christ’s presence would be invisible is clearly proved by the fact that he saw the need to give his disciples a sign whereby they would know that he was actively present.
Matthew 24 and 25 for example.
Commenting on these chapters, one religious Encyclopedia states:
“Christ had clearly stated that the Gospel was to be preached to all nations before the end (Matt., 24: 14)
Various other signs are spoken of as preceding or ushering in the end, as a great apostasy (II Thess., 2, 3), or falling away from faith or charity (Luke 15: 8; + Matt., 24: 12), the reign of Antichrist, and great social calamities and terrifying physical convulsions.”

Read the details in Matthew chapters 24 and 25, Mark chapter 13 and Luke chapter 21.

Some people believe these signs started to be fulfilled as of 1914.

The second coming of Jesus Christ is when God deems it the end of this age and the beginning of the tribulation period. All who believe in Jesus alive n this earth will be taken in what is called the rapture and those who do not will be left behind. There will be 7 years where the antichrist reigns and havoc is abundant, there will be one final chance to admit or deny Jesus, then He will return with a shout and all of the heavenly host with Him. Believers will be with Him for all eternity as promised, and those who still say He is not who He has said all along will be cast in to the fire prepared for the devil and his angels. Jesus is merciful and just so even tho He loves us, He must be true to His pure nature. This is all coming to pass so please make sure you are ready to answer what you will do with what Jesus did for you. Bless you in your search :)

When Jesus asended into after 40 days after His resurection, He said he would return again.
2 Thess., 1 Corth. 15 and Revelation tells about His return. Jesus himself talked about His return in Matt. before His crucifixtion.
We don't know when the exact day will be;He told us what to look for to know that His return would be soon.
When Jesus comes the 2nd time it will be sit up His kingdom, which his disicples thought it was will He was here the first time. Ezekiel chapters 35-40 explain His kingdom and what it will look like, it will be Jersualem.

Well, actually the first coming of Jesus was in the New Testament, then the second coming is the rapture when we (Christians) will all meet him in the air. We will go to see God, be judged, then go to heaven. The third coming of Christ (mostly called the second coming) he will come to the earth and judge the earth and all who are not saved.

The return of our Lord is just as literal as His going away.[Act1:9-11] It is in three parts.
FIRST-He will descend to the air,to catch away His waiting Bride ,the perfect in Christ.[Col. 1:28, !Thes.415-18;Rev.12:5-6]This is called the rapture of the first fruites.[Rom.823].He will appear only to those who"eagerly wait for Him.[Heb.9:28]
SECOND-The catching up of those who remained faithful unto death in the great tribulation.This is called the harvest.-{Rev.14:14-18; 7:9-14 Matt;24:29-31}
THIRD-Revelation.He will come to the earth to be seen of every eye [Rev1:7} to establish His kingdom on the earth,and execute judgement on the ungodly.{Zech14:4,5 ; 2Thes.7:10}

The Second comming of Christ will be when he actualy returns to the earth. He will appear in the east and enter Jerusalem through the Eastern Gate and establish a 1000 year reign on earth...

This will be after a period most of the Christian Faith believe will be a 7 year period of Tribultaion on earth...

Before The Tribulation period, Christ will appear in the air and Call His Church... all of those who accept Him for who He is... The Church will be taken to Heaven... This is refered to as The Rapture. But it is not The Second Coming As he will not actualy come down to earth and reign.

Someone once told me that the basic difference between Jews and Christians is that the Jews are waiting for the Messiah to come, and Christians are waiting for the Messiah to come BACK.
Don't know what you want explained, really, but it's all mythology, anyway. Might as well wait for Zeus to show up.
